Blades is free, but very monotonous and requires a lot of grinding. Before I graduated school and was broke, I would have probably sunk a lot of time into this because on no other options. However, that was a long time ago and there are better things to do with my time and money.
@komodo182 I find I have to agree with the random person on Reddit that gave it a C- and posted this tl;dr review: "The Elder Scrolls: Blades is a First-Person Action-RPG originally released on mobile devices in 2019. It doesn't have the open world of Skyrim. Or the character customization. Or the variety. Or the graphics. Or the intricate, detailed world. Rather, this is an extremely simplified take on the franchise that does at least have some interesting town-building elements. Unfortunately, even what little joy this game has to offer is bogged down by extremely aggressive monetization that sours the whole experience. If you can manage to scrape together the money, just get Skyrim instead."
I enjoyed it for a little while, I like the gameplay loop well enough for a simple game but... this gane gives me motion sickness... so I can't really play it.
@Darknyht I feel that sums it up. I am giving it a go for awhile. It is annoying that post up ads happen. I can't say I looked at buying anything with real money. Its a simplified skyrim with some town simulation.
@komodo182 It is what it is. It's not like it's the best game ever. It is enjoyable enough but no more than that. It's no Asphalt or Animal Crossing, haha.
So far it is nice for early morning grinding after I do my AC daily tasks. Its not amazing by any means but its nice to have a new story in the TES universe as I have well over 2000 hours in Skyrim and short of me getting custom mods I'm kinda done. Since I love settlement building that keeps me coming back too. I think its a interesting fit for switch as for me it doesn't really seem like monetization is that big of a deal. Since my Switch has a hundred other games to play i can start some building go play something else or go about my day and come back to a remodeled town without spending a dime.

I've played a bit, pretty decent ES spin-off type title. Gonna stay away from any paid content; as an RPG enthusiast, I've grown a high tolerance for grinding. Pretty interested in how far grinding/not spending anything will take me.
Is there a way to restart the game? It always crashes when it tries to load the next quest. I already deleted the game and reinstalled it, but as soon as i start the game it loads the quest and crashes.
