Hello y'all!

Despite a few quibbles (with combat mostly) I really enjoyed Eastward on Switch first time I played it that I imported an Asian physical copy a while ago. The Switch version got really smooth with the 1.1.0c update with improved performance, bug fixes and some welcome QOLs. Unfortunately, this update does not come with this cart.

Anyway, as a sucker for "complete" physical versions" and since the US version was released after the patch had been out, does anyone know if the 1.1.0c update (or later) comes with it? That way I could sell my Asian copy and get the US one.

Thanks in advance!

I believe it does. But I'll double check my copy after work later today.

Eastward was a mixed bag for me. Earth Born was great. The world and story was great. The combat was so so. The dialogue was often loquacious. I personally give it a 7.5.

Overall I liked it, but I feel like it missed the mark a bit.

Yeah, 1.1.0c is on the cartridge, but there is an update available in addition to that.

@Magician thank you so much for checking the version available from the get-go and taking the time to reply! Have a good one!

@umbreon_sylveon Even though I was a bit put off by the rather slow start and felt combat could be a bit more refined, I really enjoyed it once I got farther (down the road some weapons made combat much more bearable imho). Plus they nailed the final chapter!

And yes - most characters tend to talk way too much and drag a great deal on their banter.😅 I do think your score is on point.
