Topic: EA: "will evaluate any and all opportunities"

As we look to the future, we see a world where more people are playing on more platforms in more geographies then ever before. We see the platform cycle now, not just as a traditional six-year console cycle, but as a six-month refresh rate on mobile devices, smart TV’s, Internet-enabled refrigerators, or whatever it might be.

And what we’re doing, in terms of resource allocation, is really investing at a core digital platform level, at an engine level, and at a game architecture level, to ensure that we are able to deliver amazing experiences: 6 inches to 60 inches, and beyond; two minutes to two hour session times, and beyond; across any and all relevant devices where gamers are playing.

And as it relates to Nintendo, we’ve had a tremendous relationship with them over the years. And we will evaluate any and all opportunities with them, in the same way we do all platform opportunities.

It's not "BS." It smacks of realism and an obvious willingness to "follow the tech" to make profits and forward their company.

@rallydefalut Exactly. That's how we know it's EA being disingenuous. Other giveaways include:
1. "...we’ve had a tremendous relationship with them (nintendo) over the years"
2. "...to ensure that we are able to deliver amazing experiences"
3. "...we see a world where more people are playing on more platforms in more geographies "

I can't wait to play my next EA game on my fridge screen instead of WiiU.

Only game I care about from EA is Garden Warfare at this point, a game that seems PERFECT on Nintendo systems, but we all know they won't put it on any Nintendo systems.

Hmph. At this point, anything from EA is just talk and PR until I see a new game on any Nintendo console.

I have a chronic lack of time, for everything.

Now playing: Okami HD, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Yeah, this is just PR. I'll just wait-n-see

Hopefully, if EA does decide to support Nintendo platforms again, they won't half ass it like they did with the Wii and Wii U(but they probably will)

No, no. No. You see, what you're doing is called "allowing your feelings to enter the conversation." EA is a game publisher with just as many "hits" and "misses" in its catalog as any other publisher. "Amazing experiences" DO happen for all sorts of gamers in EA-published games, just maybe not for you.

If you go back through the console timelines, EA HAS published numerous, numerous games for Nintendo platforms.

And people ARE playing on more "platforms" and in more "geographies."

... You people. <sigh>

@shaneoh: Opportunity to make money

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
