So this is my understanding of physical releases for Dead Cells.
There's the initial physical release around 2018. This is an initial version that did not yet have performance fixes to achieve a solid 60 FPS on Switch.
Following The Game Awards 2018 where it won Action Game of the Year, there was an "Action Game of the Year" edition physical release around 2019, that includes the Rise of the Giant DLC.
However, I recall seeing listings for a later printing of this edition with additional text saying it includes the Bad Seed DLC, and it seemed to be harder to find than the prior print.

Then we have the Return to Castlevania print this month. I don't recall there being a new print for the Fatal Falls or The Queen and the Sea DLC.

My concern is this could end up being the final physical print for the game and we never get a definitive physical release, as happens too often. I really wanted a physical print of Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed, like we had for Xenoblade 2 Torna.
There also hasn't been a physical DLC complete release of Super Smash Bros Ultimate, whilst there have been for some titles like Pokémon Sword and Shield, Zelda Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 2.

Thats disheartening. I guess I need to come to terms with that physical games are just something I can display on my shelf, but not something I can preserve entirely. I refuse to buy code in a box games, though.
