Topic: Can you use the Pokeball Plus as a kid's controller in ...

With the Pokeball Plus controller popping up for $20 on Prime Day, I had a thought ... I know the controller can't really play many games because of a lack of buttons. But in some ways, that seems like an advantage with young kids who want to hit buttons that take them into menus, etc. I've disabled or remapped buttons before, but you'll still always have a home button. Could the Pokeball Plus be an option to just let a young kid run around in Animal Crossing or (3D) Mario games?

Just to be clear, I'd use a second controller to get into the game, switch to the Pokeball Plus, and go back to the home screen. Or could I not get back to the game once I switched to the Pokeball Plus?

@megasean maybe you can use the left joy con? Only thing is you might want to disable the minus button somehow, probably with a screwdriver

Haha, exactly. You can actually disable this button in the Switch menu now! You just can't disable the home button, understandably. Good thought to only give him the left joy con.

Thanks everyone for your help! Seems like the answer is, doubtful, at best.
