I would highly advise against Bluetooth headsets.

They have lag, and while some are better than others, it's just not as good as dedicated wireless dongles. For the life of me I can't understand why the community has put such a focus on Bluetooth.

I'd go with Arctis 1 Wireless, or better yet, go wired with Sennheiser 560S.

For people moaning about lag I've first hand experience to say there is no lag! I've played many hours of Skyward Sword using my Joy-Con and Beats Solo 3 Wireless Headphones, and experienced zero lag, and I'm sat a good 10 feet away from my Switch.

Nobody is “moaning” about lag. Just because someone has a take that gets under your skin doesn’t mean you have to mischaracterize what they say in an attempt to discredit them. I’m not complaining or moaning about anything, i’m giving fair advice and warning to somebody before they make a mistake they will likely regret.

There is lag. Whether you perceive it is on the individual. But it’s there and documented, 50-150 ms depending.

Some people play Alien Isolation and say “there’s no lag” when it takes a quarter second response time to turn. Just because you personally don’t perceive it doesn’t mean it’s not there.

With that said, it’s always possible a person doesn’t feel it’s an issue and if so, knock yourself out. But I see no advantage in using Bluetooth that has provably significant more lag than a dedicated wireless dongle. Maybe you’ll be one of the few who doesn’t notice it, then again, maybe you won’t. It’s a needless risk that you don’t have to take if you just go with dedicated wireless dongles (and any gaming headset worth it’s salt has its own dedicated wireless dongle, barring the proprietary wireless Xbox uses).

But you guys can make your own decisions, I’m just telling you before hand so if you get a Bluetooth headset you don’t come back and ask why there’s so much lag afterward and wonder why nobody said anything to warn you.

@Laserbeak1982 It's been a while since I watched it, but Austin John Plays youtube (pasted above) seemed to demonstrate scenarios that create lag. It depends on your setup.
