I’ve had the OLED Switch for over a year now and since I got it, every now and then, whilst docked, my TV screen will got black for 1-2 seconds, no sound and come back to life, right back in the game, where I left off. The TV screen will now be saturated in bright colours. I read the 2.0 HDMI cable isn’t great that Nintendo supply and that some recommend getting a 1.4 cable. I’ve tried that and the same has just happened. I’ve also tried changing the RGB setting on my Switch, but this hasn’t helped either. My TV is an LG OLED, LG OLED42C24LA. I don’t often play it as a handheld, but haven’t had the issue like that. I am confident it’s not the TV though, as it never happens whilst streaming or eating SKY.

Please can someone help?

Thanks

@Ryu_Niiyama has an LG C2, I think (in US). @Ryu_Niiyama, have you encountered that issue @OllieC describes above?

@OllieC Other than the RGB setting, have you tried a different hdmi port? It shouldn't matter, but in some cases/TVs it does. Disregard if you tried already.

@WoomyNNYes I am a little afraid of your memory. I barely remember the model of my tv. But you are correct, I have a LG C2 (oled55C2PUA). Lmao.

Anyway, nope no issues with mine. Granted mine stopped going to sleep when connected to the tv so i have to remember to turn the tv off (which turns off the switch) I am sure I changed some setting and forgot. That being said I still have not switched to my OLED switch yet (i have to transfer over 1.7 TB of games) so I don’t know if what OP is describing is an OLED issue or not. As I am still using my V2. I am also using an mclassic so there is also the pass through factor. If I set up my OLED sooner than later I will test and report back.

Hi Woomy,

Thanks for your reply, I have tried a different HDMI port and still the same issue I’m afraid.
I can’t figure out how to change the RGB setting on my TV though. I’ve only changed it on the Switch.
