I pretty much leave every device I have in whatever standby or sleep mode or whatever it has. Even if it only saves me a few seconds, it is better than waiting for a full boot every time.

So far sleep mode was fine, only really turning my switch off for longer travels where i have to save the battery. Mhhm, now that i remember how school always taught me to save any kind of energy by turning it off instead of putting it into sleep mode, i do feel kinda guilty about that

Anyone encounter a memory card problem? It cant read my sandisk A1 512gb mem card after I updated my switch but my older 128gb mem card works fine.

You likely have to reformat that 512gb card. If you have a pc, you can save the card's Nintendo folder to PC so you reformat the card, then copy the Nintendo folder back onto the card. That way, you don't have to re-download games back onto it.

(Or, your card died. But I think that's less likely.)

I'm old school: I turn off the Switch, my cell phone and all other devices when not in use.

Updated to latest and no problem. I think what users need to do is shutdown power up or restart. This will avoid any issues just like Windows when it updates the smart move is to restart.

hi guys,

my bother and I are facing up same issue with two different docks and switch. When docked, no TV signal, since the upgrade to 13.2.0.
Have tried both docks, mixed the power supply, ... same issue.
Have unplugged everything several time with no luck.
Docks are "old", with no ethernet port to reset them.
Some guys said they fixed the issue but how ? We want to avoid a hard reset as mentioned by pressing the power button at least 12s.. What are the other solutions rather than waiting for a fix by nintendo ?

Thks

You don't lose anything by a hard reset. Just save your last game that might be still running in standby and you'll be good.

You don't need to change docks or power supplies. You just need to power off the Switch, that's all.

Is the answer to turn it off and on again?
