Battery percentage issues - Nintendo Switch Forum

Hey guys, I've been having issues with the battery percentage on my Switch. You see, I'll charge it on the dock until 100% and I take it out and then if I turned it off and back on it will go down to 60% and then go back to 100% if I have it off for awhile. But one time my Switch said it was at 9%. But I then turned it on again and it went back to 98%. The battery of course doesn't change when connected to the dock except if it's charging. is this a firmware issue or battery issue? I believe it started after I did the update at least since I noticed. I appreciate it if anyone knows the answer, thanks! :)

But thank for explaining the above though. I still find it bizarre that it is never really off per se, but as long as it doesn't do it any damage in the long run then that's all fine with me. Maybe it's something they will introduce in an update?!
