I charged my switch to 100% it was dead the next day. I tried again and turned it off then went to check my switch and it was turned on almost dead. I charges it to atleast 80%, a hour of use and it was dead. What should I do?

Go get a refund if you can, a switch with a battery life like yours has very little use for games.
If you can't, look up fixes online.

Hope you're having a good day.

That is possible if Under warranty but if that since 2017 or 2019 v2 units that too late. I do recall some saying they replaced the battery. How are you charging it? Dock or 3rd party charger? How did you know it was 100% charge? Alot of other stuff missing here to know what is happening.

Are you fully turning it off and then turning it back on to find the battery life has dropped considerably? Or just putting it to sleep? If it's the first option, I do recall there was a glitch many users were experiencing where this would happen if they fully turned the Switch off. Nintendo advised allowing the battery to completely drain and then fully charge it and repeating the process up to 5 times.

It could also be that the Switch isn't readig the battery life correctly and there is a hardware fault.
