I had it on pc just because of the smoother framerate.
And technically the game was kickstarter and met all of its funding goals. I think that alone makes it a success, because isn't anything past that profit for them?
@Onaga
From reviews thus far, if you liked Banjo Kazooie and really don't expect anything more than that all over again, you'll be very happy with it. If you're looking for a game that shakes up the formula and does things differently, you'll be disappointed.
It is definitely not as good as Banjo Kazooie. It is a fun game but it still lacks the charm of the Banjo games. The camera can really piss you off in this game too.
@Onaga Nobody knows better then you if the game will be good for you. Do some research and check reviews. Also wait for Switch reviews as the game may rate better on the Switch because it's suppose to be the updated version that will get reviewed.

@Dev I've been saying that since they first canceled the Wii U version.
@Samus7Killer I said on one of their Twitter post which was advertising a sale for PS4 I believe that it would be a nice gesture to release to a sale for Nintendo fans and got quite a few likes.

@Spoony_Tech - It can technically be both. And, with as little as we can get for information about it, I would say it's a bigger update in that perspective. At least this confirms it's still moving forward after the release of the game upon other major platforms (and when the "ship has sailed" for a major sales boost from the console).
@Luna_110 - I would suspect we may see something about the game in a briefing within a Direct somewhere in the Fall announcing a date. I predict a date and some highlight about the major patch being added to the release (and the off-chance its physical coming Holiday).
Just received a Kickstarter backer update.
The spit and polish update is ready, however the official line on a Switch release is still -
