@Nintendoer Grabbing is basically the whole point of Hoops, lol.
I'm not sure if I saw this right, but I managed to unleash a flurry on an opponent which knocked them into the springs on the edges of the arena, which then dumped them into the hoop. I could be mistaken, but that's what it looked like to me.
He'd probably be a more likely candidate than Stretch Armstrong, Mr. Tickle, or Mrs. Incredible/Elastigirl, but I'd still bet against his inclusion. Nintendo have dabbled with including related franchises (most recently with the Splatoon x Squid Girl/Ika Musume collab), but it's never extended to actually including the character outright. Who knows though.
In other news, I am a Ribbon QUEEN. Either that or I got lucky with the matchmaking today.
@OfNullAndVoid It's no secret, landing a flurry (or the last hits at least) also earns you a three-pointer in Hoops. In fact, the few times I played the mode there was not much grabbing going on at all. Probably because everybody expects them coming at all times, making them more inclined to punch and counter them.
Yeah, the whole attack triangle is interesting in Hoops because the game is so heavily weighted towards grabs, but that makes them all the more predictable, which then makes standard punches useful for breaking through them. Didn't see a whole lot of blocking though.
That the last testpunch has ended. I think. A lot of fun with experimenting with each character. I like twintelles power, but isn't my type of character.
I really like forcing my opponent to come to me as Master Mummy. Just sit back, heal, and counter whatever the opponent does. Not always going to work with some characters, also lame to do.
@Joeynator3000 Funny, I found that I had the least trouble fighting Twintelle.
Just finished the last session, lots of Ninjara's, Spring Mans, Ribbon Girl and Min Mins.
I had several matches where I was at a sliver of health, would bring it all the way back, just to lose at the very last punch
The Testpunches were fun though, and I'm definitely getting ARMS.

I couldn't even touch her, it was annoying...although Team Battle was more annoying. manages to get a good aim on target, or grabs it, but immediately gets interrupted by team member's attack or gets flung across with him/her T.T

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Joeynator3000 I kept getting a grab on someone just to get grabbed by their teammate. Also, in the last couple testpunches, there weren't any 3 or 4 person free for alls, which were a lot of fun.
Anyways, I did record most of it....gonna upload it to Youtube soon. (it's almost 3gb, though....so....>_>)
No idea if I fought with/against anyone here, lemme know if you did. I was mostly Ninjara and Mechanica.

@meleebrawler I think it's more of the issue of how often it occurs, for example I'd get it once in a match, but my opponent didn't miss, and the deciding factor could come down to whether you were unlucky or not.
And I didn't think of that, that's a good idea to get your rush early.
