If I get a Switch (still waiting on an impressive library) I probably won't hook it up to a TV. I don't feel like hooking up another machine to my TV.

I assume 90% of my gaming will be done on the big screen, as I don't really game on the go. The last 10% will be done whenever my girlfriend wants to use the TV.
Depends on the game. But if it's anything like how I use my Wii U it won't be in the dock very often. On the Wii U I usually played big games on the TV and smaller stuff on the GamePlay.
For example VC games I never played on the TV, Mario Maker was the same. But I played through games like Zelda, Bayonetta and Assassins Creed on the TV. Mostly. In the middle games like Kart and Smash were a bit of both. First few days? On the TV. After that on the GamePad.
.... and by some coincidence my Wii U is plugged in but not connected to a TV right now. So yeah. A bit of both but I'm more of an off TV kind of person

An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
@gcunit That's been one of my big questions, the trailer so far only showed it being played when undocked with the Joycon(s) (solo sideways / individual duo / connected). No evidence yet that you can use the Joycon Grip or Switch Pro controller when it is undocked but unless the signal is sent to the dock itself rather than the console (something I don't expect), you should be able to use them when undocked. This basically raises the number of potential play styles to 9 (assuming you can use the Joycon(s) alone when the Switch is docked and discounting the silly idea of using a portable set up switch as the controller when in the dock).
Regarding the d-pad, I do hope Nintendo or a third party manufacture alternative Joycons with D-pads so you can customise your Switch depending on game type.
The splatoon segment showed people using the pro controller while undocked/using the kickstand...
Well it does have a built-in kickstand and the joycons are wireless. So I think we can fairly safely say that you can use the Pro Controller when not docked
I'll have it docked for most of the time I imagine.I've never really been much of a handheld gamer although I do find myself using just the Gamepad for VC games and sometimes Mario Maker, even when I have the TV right in front of me.Advance Wars and Fire Emblem GBA were superb to play on the Gamepad.I kept wishing "if only they had stylus controls" when playing them though. It''s a shame the Wii U never got it's own sequels.Hopefully both will appear on Switch and assuming the tablet will have a touch screen,I'll be playing those off-TV.
