Trace Memory is back!

I've been wanting to play these for a while, and although I could still get the originals, this looks like a high-effort remake so it'll probably be the version I go for.

It’s been so long since I played Trace Memory that it might as well as be a new game. Looking forward to playing the wii game as well. Very pleased with this collection.

The second one is a guilty pleasure of mine: Its more of a teen girl walking simulator with very little gameplay, yet still enjoyable for a core male-gamer like me. And I got it dead-cheap, that helped too. I never played the original. If the collection gets a retail version, I'll buy. Otherwise I'll pass. However, all the ds specific gimmicks most likely will be scrapped.

Anyone get a physical copy of this in yet?

I had it pre-ordered on Amazon & even though it was supposed to release today it hasn't shipped & doesn't even have an estimated release or delivery date like their system doesn't even know when it's going to release.

Just got a release estimate, Amazon is now saying I should get my copy around February 15th (keep in mind, I had it pre-ordered). Absolutely ridiculous.

I'll see if Walmart has any in stock when I do my shopping for the week (unlikely, as it looks like Nintendo just royally screwed up the release of this thing), and if they do I'll just buy it there & cancel my Amazon order.

Need to go back to pickup this one. Missed picking it up.

In a bit of good news Amazon sent me an update & my copy has in fact shipped, so I'm going to be getting it Saturday!

I did receive the Amazon JPN version has anyone played this version and is it EN option on it?

Just watched the credits roll on the second part. I think I liked the first part a bit more as it felt more isolated & mysterious.

The first part has a very small cast, while the second's balloons comparatively and has a LOT more talky bits. Also, the first one largely takes place in a mysterious mansion while the second sees you exploring a generally cheery lakeside resort, just with a few dilapidated places closed to the public. Also, while the first's puzzles are unique across the board, the second one feels like they got a bit complacent as it feels like 50% of it's puzzles are just a lock hacking mini game where you have to pull off a random series of button presses/gyro gestures in the correct order, even though it does have a few really good ones thrown in (plus a gyro dependant "ball in a maze" puzzle that may call to mind a certain BotW shrine, lol). Neither part ever gets particularly hard though, as they're generally easygoing experiences, and it's worth playing both to fully experience the story.

Also, for those wondering, non-story related spoiler, you do unlock Ashley's original design/outfit from the first game once you complete both parts.
