Looking forward to the Animal Crossing direct and what new stuff they're gonna throw toward us. Haven't been playing the game too much these days - I like the game for sure, but I pretty much done everything in it, aside from getting all the bugs, fish, and sea creatures for my museum. I do have the vast majority of them, though.
@BrittGOAL14 Yeah I saw that from that Nintendo Direct! Looking forward to paying him a visit.

@MarioLover92
I heard from Datamining last year there were some crops like Tomatoes, Corn, etc in ACNH but still haven't released yet.
I do really hope we can plant more crops, not just only pumpkins. My farm field is ready to plant different crops.
Ok, so I have cr@ppy patience and can’t wait until the AC direct next month. So I will speculate!
1: Ceiling items. I think this was leaked from a data mine…
2: Maybe a Zelda crossover for the anniversary? Maybe a bit too late?
3: Maybe the ability for more residents? As paid dlc for like $7?
That’s all I have, I’m off to go finish destroyin- I mean, gently remove the mess of flowers on my island.

@octokid I'd love to have Zelda items in it too. Really like the Mario items I've got, though they should totally put in items from other Nintendo series as well. We'll see what the AC direct is gonna show off.

The Zelda items really should've been in the base game. Same with the Metroid items and other Nintendo themed things, given that New Leaf, a now 20 dollar game, had them at launch.
The direct isn't exciting me, even if it were to bring back all the things I want, since all it will be is them paying the players back for being robbed of 60 bucks at launch.

The day they add paid DLC to Animal Crossing is the day I quit for good. I'll buy every amiibo, but that's as far as I will go. In fact, if they had to monetise content, at least amiibo can be shared and aren't tied to a specific console/NNID.
With record sales (34 million!) for a game with significantly less content than its predecessors, Nintendo have zero excuses for further monetising the game.
Porygon did nothing wrong.

@TimGibsonPBS Agreed. I’m hoping the direct will make the game somewhat worth playing, but I heavily doubt it will, and even then, I won’t be praising Nintendo for it, as it’s content that should’ve been there in the first place, but for some reason just wasn’t.

I doubt they'd have paid DLC for this game, honestly...they would have done it over a year ago so I'm positive they'll still give the game free content updates.

@MarioLover92 If Nintendo knew what’s good for them, they’d just give us only free DLC, as they owe us for selling a game at 60 dollars when it has less content than that of a 40, now 20 dollar game.

@VoidofLight Yeah that's what I think they would do anyway. IIRC, the last AC:NH direct (the one that went live before the game came out) said that it's gonna get free content updates, which was obviously true. There was not a single microtransaction in the game, either - they already have Pocket Camp for that anyway.

@MarioLover92 Agreed. They already have a game that’s a huge money sink on mobile in terms of micro-transactions, so I doubt they’ll do that to the main game as well.

@MarioLover92@VoidofLight I think it'll only be free updates but that the final update will be either the November 2021 one teased in the September Direct or one in 2022. Only 2 1st party Nintendo games on Nintendo systems have been supported 2 years or longer, Splatoon 2 (2 years) and Smash Ultimate (3 years). While there's Nintendo mobile games that have been supported longer, they are no doubt a result of the microtransactions.
@Grumblevolcano Well, hopefully the direct, if it's the final update, adds in all the missing content. New Horizons will probably be supported for another year or so, but I'm mainly just hoping for something that's worthwhile and will give me stuff to work towards.

@TimGibsonPBS I tried getting it for a good while, but gave up on it. It's been out of stock for a long time and I doubt it's coming back anytime soon. Went ahead and just got the regular copy.
