Topic: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

@TimGibsonPBS There are others, I'm sure, but I'm fluent in Japanese. Is there some news that just came out in Japanese?

I love New Horizons. I've played it every day since release. But I can understand why some people are disappointed. I too wish they'd add more things to do and more facilities. I want some Nook's Cranny upgrades at the very least. I'd love to see some characters like Kicks, Leif, and Label taken out of the queue and moved into shops. And it always makes me a little sad to see K.K. Slider having to give concerts in bad weather when it rains or snows. I miss the villager visits, too!

I still think we'll get some bigger updates! Anyway, I hope we do. I was hoping for more item interactivity before the game came out. It'd be cool to be able to play billiards or soccer or actually use the telescope to look at the moon, for example.

@TimGibsonPBS Well, that actually sounds pretty awesome! Best of luck to you with your game. I wish I could help out, but I don't know if I'd be up to it. I'm a translator, but I usually translate the other way, from Japanese to English. But I hope you find someone good.

I'm hoping that the dev team has been using the last few months to concentrate on some bigger updates. This is still a fun game, just would be nice to have a few other things to do.

@Hyrule_Rainclouds Yeah I agree with you, I love New Horizons but I'm itching for more stuff to do in it. I know Nintendo said that there will be more updates in the future.

@MarioLover92 That’s weird but thanks for letting me know! I’ll fix it in a bit. DIYs are a nightmare… Always the same ones.

@BrittGOAL14 Yeah no problem! I keep getting ones we've already learned too. I think the more DIYs we learn, the harder it is to get brand new ones. Many of us have been playing since launch, including yours truly, so it's not that surprising...but man I'd love to at least get DIYs that I'd give to someone who hasn't learned yet. I like helping others out whenever possible

@BrittGOAL14 I had fun visiting your DA. You've got a lot of cool stuff on your island and in your house, plus they're all laid out nicely! I think one of the standout features is that maze, reminds me a lot of those May Day mazes we did. I like that movie theater and arcade in your house too! Some of the other parts I like include that little soccer area next to your house, that train set area, the Mario item area, and the separate areas where the space and pirate decorations are located. Overall, great island.

There's one item that caught my eye, which is that Pocket Camp slot machine. Can that be cataloged in the Nook Shopping app? If you can't order it, don't worry about it. That red lava lamp looks pretty cool too.

Totally made a mistake. Bought AC WW and started playing. The next day? Decided to start over on New Leaf. 3 AC games at once now… Sheesh.

@BrittGOAL14 Oh goodness! That's quite the coincidence since I just started a new town in New Leaf as well, and that's purely because I got nostalgic for that game, lol. I never played Wild World, but my brother used to play that a lot. New Leaf was my first Animal Crossing game.

@MarioLover92 I’ve actually never played WW either. The original was my first but had little time to play then… Forgot about the franchise until NL came out. Great game.

@BrittGOAL14 We never had the original Animal Crossing, but my bro's friend had it back then. I remember it had the NES games that you could play. Pretty cool that they had them there before the Virtual Console became a thing.

@TimGibsonPBS I have a white desktop computer and a silver laptop that I've cataloged.

I started a new town in New Leaf a couple of months ago, but it was almost depressing to think how much time and work and good old fashioned grinding it would require to get my town to the same point as my current New Horizons town, and I put the game down again. Maybe I'll come back to it once New Horizons has run its course and I'm looking for something "new", but I don't know when that will be since I'm still greatly enjoying New Horizons.

@TimGibsonPBS Yeah sure! I'll order them today. I think since you've pretty much started a new game, we'll need to meet up with each other tomorrow since that's when the computers will arrive.

@Mountain_Man Yeah, I can tell how much time needs to be spent to get both your town and house all decorated and everything, lol. Especially with the fortune cookie items.

After almost 6 months of not playing NH, i played the game yesterday and found out that:

1. The game doesn't scold you for not playing for over a year (i used to change my system date to june last year to keep playing consecutive days)
2. I have no time or in-game money to re-allocate like 4 houses and do a make-over of my house
3. I dont know how to get the mario pipes
4. I'm only missing ONE (1) fossil item and it's driving me crazy

I love the game, but I don't know if I'll continue playing it, and if it wasn't the case, i can't bring myself to deleting it
