@johnvboy Thanks for having me at your island! I had fun. If you don't have @FattyWhale_42 on your in-game friend list, you can send the informative statue to me so I can let him know about it. Have a good one!

As I have said there i stuff missing fro New Leaf, but also new features to the series, a nice big update would be nice, but it's not the end of the world to me, if we don't get one.
Still enjoying the game every day, totally get it's not for you though, I only wish you liked it as much as others do.

@VoidofLight They haven't said anything about it being abandoned, but the updates are slower.
I guess there isn't as much of a rush now that the game can function for a full calendar cycle, before they had to add events. But there's still a decent amount of things in the game's files that haven't been added.
I'm guessing we'll need to wait a while and then we'll get one big update to draw people back in.
@Kimyonaakuma I mean, it's been all but confirmed that it's effectively abandoned. The game hasn't updated for 2 months, and the updates are extremely small, with them only changing holidays. The game's still lacking major gameplay features from the last games that actually improve the social sim aspect that the game was built around. I know a lot of people are starting to lose interest, and I've met a lot of people who either dropped the game back in December, or recently dropped it a couple of months back. The game itself majorly lacks in content when compared to the other Animal Crossing games, and it shows.

@VoidofLight
ACNH is already have everything I want.
The lack of social sim aspect is actually a benefit for me since I don't need to talk with my villagers everyday and they are no longer moving out without my acknowledge. No more boring yadda yadda yadda.
That model is perfect for me and I'm so happy to able keep my villagers when I leave the game for long time. They will not go anywhere without my permit.
@Anti-Matter Yes, I know, you've said this many times before. However, most actual fans of the series aren't like you, and what you find "interesting" isn't what most people want out of New Horizons. You effectively just want a clone of the sims, and want that for every game, like if they make an ARMS 2, you want it to be just like the sims for some reason..
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@VoidofLight
Well, nothing wrong for wishing The Sims aspect for other games. Editing character from head to toe is already became a norm for almost certain games, nothing wrong with that. Don't you happy if you can create your own ARMS fighter as your desire ?
Also, there are some clones of Animal Crossing games by indie developers that I believe they will not design their games as strict as old Animal Crossing since peoples nowadays are different than 20 years ago. Peoples nowadays don't like ridiculous restriction to play the games so they will not care with yadda yadda yadda, they will not torturing themself by play the game everyday or the game will punish you for not playing everyday, they will not like to lose something by randomly. I believe the indie developers that create Animal Crossing clones will not bring the ideas of being lonely and lost the animal villagers to make the players felt how is being lonely and lost your friends. They will not use that ideas anymore.
@Anti-Matter You clearly don't know the animal crossing fanbase, or clearly don't enjoy animal crossing. It was never meant to be a building sim. It was always supposed to be a social sim game with decorating aspects. The series is literally alienating over half the fanbase right now with this new release, and I'm not the only person disappointed with it.
You really like making your personal feelings "everyone's" personal feelings. Not everyone wants a sims game with an animal crossing skin. Not everyone wants Dragon Quest builders with an animal crossing skin. That's what you want, and you alone. At least in my case, I see people with the same desires that I have. I know that I'm not the only person who dislikes New Horizons for the reasons why I stated.
You're the only person who really hates the social sim aspects of a social sim game, and the only person who wants Nintendo to change it to fit their needs, when there's already games that have the stuff you want. Go play the Sims and go play Dragon Quest Builders. If you hate animal crossing, just don't play it, and don't expect others to change the series they like just to fit your needs.
@TimGibsonPBS
Nintendo should add with more interactions with every objects for ACNH like The Sims or My Sims or Dragon Quest Builder. Would like to see the player or animal villagers can cook some meals by interacting the stove or having dinner by interacting the dining table or taking a bath by interacting with shower / bath tub, etc.
@TimGibsonPBS@Anti-Matter I'd love that feature as well, I'm honestly surprised it hasn't been implemented yet. Like for example, I'd want to play that billiards table rather than just having it for decoration. Even for things like the teacup ride, yeah you'd just see your character ride it but I think it'd be charming to see.

@VoidofLight
But Nintendo will not return to old style Animal Crossing anymore and it made me get interested with modern approach from Animal Crossing games by cut the social sim aspect, cut the penalty for not playing the game everyday, improve the building sims aspect to attract more audiences. And nothing wrong to play modern Animal Crossing with less social sim aspect but with more building sim aspect since the gaming taste of peoples is not same from 20 years ago. I believe if ACNH is still same strict as old Animal Crossing Gamecube, peoples will not buy the games for archaic features, only the veteran buy the games and it will not a good sign for Nintendo.
I don't understand why do you call the archaic features on old Animal Crossing is a charm while for me it was a troll ?
@MarioLover92
I think for Teacup ride, it should have bigger size as you can see the Teacup size was not fit enough for 1 people sitting on.
The irony is Pocket Camp got some objects interaction while ACNH is still like ACNL. Even Happy Home Designer still have some object interactions.
@Anti-Matter Again, you're forcing your opinion on the games onto others. You personally hate animal crossing, and want it to change into an entirely different type of game. What you personally hate, others found joy in. New Horizons has no reason for me to really want to keep playing.. mainly because there's no weight to what you do. Nothing matters anymore in the game. They removed everything that made the game actually interesting, and made it a boring building sim. While you might like it, I know a lot of people who actually dislike it, and feel cheated that they waited 7 years for this..

@VoidofLight
I don't force my opinion to you.
I just explained how did Nintendo made me get interested with Animal Crossing games.
I have ever played City Folk long time ago but it was a boring game after several minutes due to lack of something interesting to do. I was skeptical with ACNL for the first time but as I played ACNL for several weeks, I started to get interested with ACNL and the more I played ACNL, the more things and trivial things I discovered and I got addicted to play ACNL. The more I played ACNL, the more I discovered the tricks how to keep my villagers stay inside my island and it motivated me to figure it out how to exploit something or how to keep the things safe. ACNH came with better ideas so I have no longer worried about not playing the games for long time and ability to keep my villagers forever. Yeah, the new features replaced the old features but it made the game from I didn't like before became a likeable game by interesting features on it. If someday next Animal Crossing become like The Sims or Dragon Quest Builders style, I will get happier even more as I see a huge improvements.
@Anti-Matter It's admittedly been a while since I've played Pocket Camp, but I do remember seeing that your animal friends would react to those two big decorations at the player's campsite, like that merry-go-round. Now that I think about it, I'd like for those to come to New Horizons as well. I still really want to have that amusement park on my island! Problem is, only the teacup ride's available.

@TimGibsonPBS I can kinda see that they did that for this game, yeah. I think it makes sense in the context of AC:NH, since you're literally starting out on a deserted island and you've got the opportunity to make your own town, so to speak. I still enjoy the game as a whole though, and it still feels like Animal Crossing, at least in my opinion. (I started out with New Leaf, then Pocket Camp, then New Horizons.) But yeah, I'd love more to do in this game. New Leaf got a big update three years after its initial release, so New Horizons would probably get the same treatment. That'd be pretty cool.
