Topic: Animal Crossing: New Horizons

I got the Cityscape wallpaper from Saharah today and it is amazing. It is not just a flat wallpaper but actually looks like you have giant glass windows in your walls and the buildings are in the distance. It is crazy. These little details make this game awesome.

Yes, the special wallpapers are definitely a step up. Sahara gave me an underground cavern wallpaper which is flat but has a really interesting orange glow. I don't particularly care for it, but it's still kinda cool.

I'm wondering if there's any reason not to pull up all the weeds on the island. I know they're used in some crafting recipes (especially medicine to cure wasp stings), so I guess one could always put a bunch in storage, but if you pull all the weeds, do you just have to wait for them to randomly appear again? I would hate to deplete my island of its native plant life only to find out it's very useful later on.

Does the amount of villagers/islanders you can have depend on how many human players there are? My son keeps wanting to create islanders for every profile we have even though those "people" will never play. Will that keep us from getting as many animal neighbors because both are considered in the overall total, or will we get the same total of animals neighbors regardless of how many human players live on the island?

@Xyphon22 I’ve read we can have up to 10 Villagers but I’m not sure if the amount of people can mess that up or not.

@AshleighL Nice. I have Oranges and Peaches in full bloom, as well as Apples. Should have cherries soon in blossom soon. If you wanna add me, the fruits I have are yours as well.

I've noticed the critters in the museum respond to the time of day. For instance, the tarantula and hermit crab come out of hiding at night and crawl around their enclosures, and the butterflies around the fountain can be found resting on the flowers.

@Mountain_Man That's a cool detail. Probably helps make it feel more like an actual museum.

@Mountain_Man @BrittGOAL14 It's awesome details like that that make me all the more shocked that PETA went out of the way to attack the museum in Animal Crossing. I don't see how anyone can look at that museum and think "golly, those animal really have it BAD!"

At least I can kind of understand the fishing thing. The hook through the mouth of the fish would obviously be a pretty horrible experience. But the museum? The animals live in safer friendlier environments than they would be in nature! It's not like we're killing, stuffing and mounting them!

Found out it is possible to vault and get stuck in a hole you dug. Gotta be more careful with my shovel.
