@kosmaty I was watching the score live and even I was clenching, especially at 3-3 haha!! Wish we could watch other matches.

@SuperJoon Match spectating is desperately needed I feel. Been saying that since tournament mode was released.

Ball in midair in front of goal, open to world, couldn't miss.... I did... hahaha!! Flying right past and into the goal myself

@SuperJoon Ah I see, now someone tells me. It's the ball not the 'rocket car' that has to go in the goal. Been playing it wrong, lol! That excuse cut it? 😉

It was a bit of an error filled evening, unfortunately - the game seems to have a few lingering issues since the last update...particular apologies to @Fafounet and @Knownaslethal - seems the Party invites weren't sending for some reason? ..hope these things get patched up soon - very sorry that you were unable to join us!

The 1v1 Tournament wasn't without its problems either - with the first round match between @Mintendo and @Jbs-Dad (which looked set to be a great showdown between last weeks finalists) and the second round match between @kosmaty and @OorWullie (which sounds like it was shaping up to be a bit of an epic) both effected by issues, which was a real shame!

Feel quite lucky that my Semi Final was able to go ahead after this quite worrying start to the match...

...however, when it did work, it was a lot of fun!

Congratulations to @kosmaty - winning the NL Cup 🏆 on his first appearance! ..and also finishing the evening as the tournaments top goalscorer, finding the back of the net a phenomenal 18 times! ⚽ **standing ovation!**

Had a great battle with @Jbs-Dad in the second round - just about managed to cling on for the win after an excellent fight back! ..and it was a pleasure to play @kosmaty in the final - a worthy Champion!

I really enjoyed the team matches that followed as well - especially the 4v4's - absolute chaos! Lots of amazing goals, saves and skills - close matches and intense battles - was so much fun!

Unfortunately, my Switch ran out of space, so I wasn't able to record video clips after a certain point...but I did manage to capture this excellent solo-effort from @Lroy - a great tackle to win the ball, then picking it up in a tight area and finishing it off superbly! #GoalOfTheWeek!

Hopefully we'll have better luck regarding errors etc next week - such a shame that it didn't go more smoothly - but, when it did work, it was really great fun! ..gg's all round!

Thanks very much for your efforts hosting, especially with the game not entirely playing along. I noticed it getting decidedly jumpy towards the end, I think @Lroy mentioned similar while we were playing. Brilliant fun though, and I should be around next week for more.

@electrolite77 No problem - really enjoyed it! The game got a bit jittery for me as well on a couple of occasions - but, on the whole, it wasn't too bad...look forward to doing the same again next week!

I manage to find my one tangible contribution to the cause last night...

As for 'goal of the week' - dunno about that but I can say with 100% certainty, that it was the only goal I scored in our team matches all night ☺️

I'm unavailable for Monday's usual MK8 DELUXE Games Night. Celebrating my young boy's birthday this weekend and will be away. Sorry for the late notice. Only just occurred to me that I wouldn't be with my Switch nor able to host.

@NaviAndMii Thanks for the B'Day wishes my little fella is having a blast already. He doesn't know he also has KIRBY STAR ALLIES and KIRBY TRIPLE DELUXE to open soon ☺️

He has completed virtually all the content in KIRBY PLANET ROBOBOT since getting it for Xmas. Quite the Kirby fan in the making, lol! Fine by me, I love KIRBY'S EPIC YARN. One of my fave Wii games and RAINBOW PAINTBRUSH for Wii U was good fun too.
