Topic: A Nintendo account dilemna

Hello! I have an odd issue surrounding my Nintendo account. It's not mine. Let me explain. I'm just about to leave for college, and of course plan on bringing all of my gaming stuff with me, including my Switch. However, the account that all my games have been purchased on is not mine. It's my dad's. So my question is this: what should I do? Especially with the fact that Nintendo accounts seem to be carrying on to the next system, i would prefer to not be stuck udinf someone elses accoint moving forwRd. Should I just continue using and buying games on this account? Should I do something else? Any ide as would be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: my play is all through a different account which also has an NSO subscription I pay for. I just purchased all the games on my dad's account.

I went through this somewhat recently and I still buy my digital games on my "dad's" account, the only real limitation is that, unless he's actively using his account (mine doesn't but go figure) then he'd just get all the emails about everything (which he has sent directly to spam I think lol). As long as he doesn't mess with the account, the password should stay the same and you'll always have access to it. And worst comes to worst you can always call him up to fix something.

I guess the real question is if your dad plays (digital) Switch games too. You wouldn't be able to play the same game at the same time and there are various other issues with people sharing an account (the secondary person always has to be online).

If you're the only one using the account you can change the associated email address, nickname, real name, payment information, location, even gender. I guess the birthday associated to the account would be forever wrong, but everything else can transfer to you so it effectively becomes your account.
