Just wondering if anyone else has had any issues using the 8bitdo Bluetooth adapter on the switch with the Wii U Pro controller?

I bought this to use with my Switch lite and it works perfectly with my Xbox One controller. However, whilst it connects to the Wii U Pro controller no buttons work, except the left analogue stick, which seems to only register down continually.

I’m running it through an on the go usb c to usb a adapter, which has also let me use my Hori Poken Tournament USB pad perfectly as well. Funnily enough, the usb pads from the ps1 classic don’t work this way.

I would say this is the problem. If directly plugged in and it has issue then you need to contact 8bitdo support.

@SwitchForce i think I may contact them. However, I’m more interested to see if anyone else on here has encountered the same issue. it’s so strange that of the controllers I tried it is the Nintendo ones that won’t work:

Xbox One: works perfectly through 8bitdo adapter.
Hori Poken pad: works perfectly through on the go adapter
Wii U Pro controller: pairs through 8bitdo adapter, doesn’t register inputs apart from seeming to be stuck down on left analog stick.
Wiimote: pairs, buttons don’t respond at all.
PS1 Classic usb pad; no response at all through on the go adapter

I haven’t tried a Mega Drive Mini usb pad yet.

As I said, the Xbox One controller works perfectly and even has vibration function working and seeing I have two of them I have saved a lot of money over buying a Switch Pro controller (£60!). I just wanted to give my Wii u pro a bit more use!

Update: Mega Drive Mini usb pads don’t work through an on the go adapter. Not that I can see why you’d really want to use one, outside of that Mega Drive Collection or SEGA ages.

Problem is since there is a varied combination to be had for anyone setting hardware connections no one can be sure unless it's directly plugged in to verify if hardware, connection, or firmware or just outdated hardware to cause connection issues.

@Gamecuber I never had issues running it portable through a UsB C to UsB adaptor mine cuts out every now and then but I just pull it out and plug it back in. However something has changed in the last 2 weeks since I last used it. Shrugs.

Do I need this? Djent djent djent?
