Skip Bomberman, its usually way overpriced.
I would recommend looking at some of the indies, I'm not sure what genre you are into but Games like Hollow Knight and Ori fit the switch perfectly. There's also stuff like Goose Game and Donut County which are loads of fun but wait until there's a sale as they have limited replay value.

It all depends on what you like. Alot of people will say get Mario Odyssey or Breath of the Wild but if your not a fan of 3D Mario Games or Open World games you won't enjoy neither.

Out of your list I would say Streets of Rage 4. It's got alot to offer with various unlockables and difficulty settings, a few characters to master and if you like the Streets of Rage series then you will enjoy SoR4. They did a great job of capturing what made the SoR series so great in the first place.

@thriftyarek888 bomberman is going to be free battle royal game and I just bought it a month ago for €7on eshop. The bombardmanR game does have a story mode game but I do not see much difference between the too. So have a bit of a good look before you buy bomberman R

Streets of Rage 4 is great, River City Girls is also really good if you like Beatem Ups.

Bomberman R was on sale at 7.99 last week. Its really fun in multiplayer.

Return of the Obra Dinn and Ys VIII are two great hidden gems.

Killer Queen Black, Super Mario Party and Samurai Shodown are some great multiplayer games.

Splatoon2, Breath of the Wild, Astral Chain, ARMS

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Diablo III
Monster Hunter Rise
Bayonetta 1 & 2
Dragon Quest XI

...are the top reasons to own a Switch in my book. Although tastes in genres will vary. There are enough games I'd rate 9/10 to throw a top fifty list together easily. But I can't be bothered right this minute.

There are some great suggestions in here already, but it would help to know what sorts of games/genres you prefer before you get a ton of recommendations that might not be your cup of tea.

Out of your list, I can only vouch for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. That's indeed an excellent game if you're into racing, especially if you enjoy playing online. Haven't played the others, though I'm debating about getting Hades as well.

Though you're not wrong, I didn't want to drown the OP with rpg recommendations.

And I figured I'd come correct by suggesting my favorite of the lot.

@thriftyarek888 Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Tetris 99 are good picks for sure - I heard Streets of Rage 4 is really good too, though I have yet to pick it up. I've played Streets of Rage 1 and 2 on the Genesis though, and they're awesome. Tetris 99 (as well as Pac-Man 99) is one of the special offers on the Switch Online service - you'll need a sub if you want to play it. I think the physical copy has more than just online multiplayer though, but I could be wrong. I downloaded it for free since I'm subbed to Switch Online, that just has the online multiplayer.

And as other people have suggested, Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild are awesome games for sure. SMO has an assist mode in case you get lost, and there's also Super Mario 3D World if you'd be into that instead; it's a 3D Mario game that plays like the classic SMB games. I also highly recommend it, plus it's got a new side game called Bowser's Fury (that plays more like games like Super Mario 64 and Odyssey). Maybe you could get 3D World + Bowser's Fury first, and if you like BF, get Odyssey.

I also recommend Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It's a really nice, chill game that lets you play at your own pace. I got a ton of mileage out of this game too - it's my most played Switch game and there's a really nice community in the AC:NH thread here at Nintendo Life! Hope this helped.

@thriftyarek888 Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild. They're kinda revolutionary.

These two, with the addition of maybe Super Smash Bros Ultimate, are the ones I consider must-own for the Switch. The thing with the system is insane variety so chances are you'll have lots of options depending on what you like.

Let me also add that if you prefer old school Mario games, such as SMB SMB3 SMW, there is New Super Mario U Deluxe. Which contains both NSMBU and Super Luigi U.

If you're into JRPGs I'd recommend Dragon Quest XI, Final Fantasy X, Tales of Vesperia, Trials of Mana, Xenoblade Chronicles (Definitive Edition, 2, & Torna), & YS VIII.

If you're into action games Astral Chain is great, as is Onimusha Warlords, & the Devil May Cry games may be worth a look.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

VoidofLight

I'd advise against getting New Horizons, since it's lacking in content, and you'd probably be better off playing New Leaf if you don't mind the graphics, as well as if you're not as big into customization features.

Xenoblade, Bravely Default II, Monster Hunter, and Astral Chain are some pretty good RPG games.
If you do get Xenoblade, I'd start with Xenoblade Definitive Edition, then go on to 2.

Dragon Quest Builders is a good minecraft-like game, if you're looking for something like that.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle hasn't been mentionned yet. It's a beginner's tactical RPG with riddle elements, combining the universes of the Mushroom Kingdom and the Raving Rabbids. If you like Mario games and the Rabbids' toilet humour, this is a must own.
Another great game I can recommend is Celeste, if you're into precision platformers in a vintage look. Its story differs strongly from other platformers.
Then another platformer: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, if you don't own it yet for the WiiU. Great graphics and outstanding music, all paired with intuitive controls.
And yet another platformer, especially if you like the first 2D Sonic games on the Mega Drive: Sonic Mania Plus.

Finally I can vouch for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Streets of Rage 4 and Super Mario Odyssey.

@thriftyarek888 if you want physical games, beware that Streets of Rage 4 have just announced DLC so there might be a new physical version in the future.

I would highly recommend Steamworld Dig 2, it's in my top 3 games on the system.

I agree with @ophone Mario + Rabbids is a great game.

@ophone This! I highly recommend Sonic Mania Plus as well. Also really liked Celeste and DKC: Tropical Freeze, though I have yet to beat the latter.

@MarioLover92:
The most surprising to me in Sonic Manis Plus was the competition mode. It's basically like the versus mode in Sonic 2, minus the slowdowns and with the possibilty to play it up to four players couch co-op.
