Return of the Obra Dinn - You play as someone exploring a ghost ship with a magical compass. It allows you to see each shipmates demise, you have to figure out who died and how. It's really fun and totally unique.
Battle Chef Brigade - A great competitive puzzle game. You kill monsters to get ingredients, to then use in a match 3 puzzle style game. Your meals are then judged at the end.
Ys VIII - Great action RPG, you're shipwrecked on an island inhabited by Dinosaurs. You've got to find the crew and get off the island. It's got a great metroid style progression system, where you get new items and open up different areas in the island.
