Topic: Unlink from returned console

Hello all and sorry if this has been answered before. I got a NS2 for my son for Christmas that unfortunately malfunctioned couple of days later (stick on right joy con was constantly “pressed” right). Anyway. Returned to Nintendo with no issues. New one arrived today and I m trying to connect my account but it requires the old one to be in close proximity. Of course that’s not possible as it has been returned. Unfortunately I didn’t unlink the old one prior to returning. Has anyone got any idea how to bypass this. The new switch doesn’t allow me to complete set up without transferring data from the old one.

There should be an option to not transfer system data and set it up as a new system.
