That title though, lol. The last action/rpg game I played from Square-Enix was Oninaki. This game looks a step better than that thanks to the HD-2D style.

No release for Switch 1? Surprising.

Gonna try the demo as soon as I beat Bonanza.

I love these games, and it’s even nicer that it’s a bit fresh with the action element instead of turn based.

Title is definitely along the lines of Triangle Strategy in terms of being hilariously bad lol

The regular enemies are too easy on normal. The boss is the right difficulty until the last phase. One too many tornadoes. Fae's warp power is fun and probably the best interpretation of a warp mechanic in a game but it breaks puzzles too easily. I think upgrading Fae's range over the course of the game would fix this issue. This is a zelda like through and through.

Fae's warp breaks puzzles because she can fly over gaps as long as they're on the same height level as you. There are invisible walls in some places to prevent this but not enough and those are cheap design anyway. I think a natural solution would be raising the ledge on the other side of a gap to prevent warping there. I like how the game reminds the player to guard.

It is insane how bad Square Enix is at naming things.

This is not even remotely comparable to the worst SE names. Honestly the only major issue I have with it is that it doesn't need two "The"s.

They called a game Various Daylife. On purpose.

Non-binary, demiguy, making LPs, still alive

Megaman Legends 2 Let's Play!:

TheSaneInsanity

It follows the format of the zelda titles

The (Legend/Adventure) or (Zelda/Elliot):
(The Millenium/Ocarina of) (Tales/Time)

Though the second 'the' is unnecessary, though ocarina of time just has it's second The omitted when it's referred to. It's a decent name, but doesn't have the gravitas of Legend of Zelda, because Elliot is the protagonist instead of how Zelda is presented as a mysterious important character compared to Link as a protagonist

Hot take, I think Octopath traveler has earned good name status via the ingame theming. If Live A Live released today instead of being remade, it would have been part of the Octopath Traveler series. I do think that Live A Live trumps Octopath traveler through gameplay story synchronicity, and it's little secrets.

@kkslider5552000 I totally forgot about various daylife lol (which probably shows how bad that title is). My personal favorite bad one is Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake. Like it is utterly hilarious to me they put HD-2D Remake in the title.

Loved the demo. Played it on hard to get some challenge in the boss fights, and it felt good.

This game is going to rock.
