Loving my new Switch 2 BUT impossible to play in “docked” mode as controllers disconnect after a short time. Totally fine using them (joy con 2 & pro 1) wireless with the console in table top mode but when docked they disconnect !!!
@Jimbo78965247 my PDP Pro Controller works fine on NS2, maybe you are talking about that part that any NS1 Controller, even Third Party ones like mine, can't wake up NS2 Console?! If that's the issue then they announced that at the begging of April!

@WoomyNNYes Thank you for, I have tried these suggestions on their website but it doesn’t seem to help. It’s a bit weird that it’s only when docked! Had a decent play session this morning before issues recurred. Also an error code for internet problems comes every time I restart the console following disconnection of controllers. Thanks anyway
@Jimbo78965247 Typically, if nintendo support troubleshooting can't solve something, that's been a good indication there's a hardware issue. Something needs replacing or repair. I'm not sure how else you could test things, like your joycons with someone else's switch 2. Or talk to the manager of the store you bought it at.
@WoomyNNYes yeah, it’s not looking good! Didn’t have a switch 1 so it’s all new to me (was thinking about getting one but knew the 2 was coming so waited for that). Going to try calling support tomorrow & failing that I’ll be returning it to retailer.
Thanks
I am having an issue where the output to the TV seems to fail and go to black for a second before the game returns. I thought it was only Cyberpunk but it happened with Kart yesterday. This is worrying to me.
@Misima Yeah, doesn’t sound good. I’m hoping it’s just early adopters issues & things will get sorted with firmware updates but it’s a lot of money to be spending so hopefully get sorted soon.
@Jimbo78965247 I'm not sure if others have recommended this - but have you tried going into the controller settings and push a controller update (if available)? I read that some joycons are not functional if they drop to zero battery and not updated. Could be (hopefully) a quick fix??
@Jimbo78965247 The reason I wonderded if you had a switch 1 & it's joycons worked ok is because, the nintendo support site troubleshooting for switch 1 mentioned removing other bluetooth/wifi devices that may be nearby, in case they are interfering with the wireless switch controller connectivity.
I goofed a detail in my previous post. What I meant to to say was, if you can't solve something with existing troubleshooting directions/pages on Nintendo's support site, you can read between the lines and take that as a good indication of a hardware problem. It's rare calling nintendo support will yield something that wasn't already in their support site troubleshooting. But with the switch 2 being so new right now, it may be worth calling them in case they've got something else up their sleeve to suggest.
@WoomyNNYes Thanks for your detailed response. I understand & it doesn’t currently look good for my switch 2, I’m just trying to eliminate everything before trying to get a refund/replacement.
@Misima This happens on my ps5 as well. Never really did find a solution. I can only recommend keeping your hdmi plugged into your best hdmi port on your tv. But even that has not be a surefire win. I just blame my tv because its a crappy vizio tv lol. I refuse to buy another tv yet lol.
@Jimbo78965247
Thanks for all the comments/advice but after contacting Nintendo support I am now returning my switch 2 for a refund, no consoles available for replacement! Will pick up a new one when they are back in stock.
