But yeah, it's a thing. Not sure if it's a very "Nintendo" thing? Not sure. But it's certainly a thing. Again though, I just want clear atomic purple. Honestly I could probably just order some replacement JoyCon shells for some of my Joycon, possibly with some new sticks.... but I'm too cheap....
At least on Switch the Pro Controller was clear black, that was nice
I’m just waiting on whatever the Zelda edition is.
My backlog for switch is so insane that I may just sit on buying the successor (I would likely buy the games though to stockpile) until the Zelda edition comes out. I just want to own one for once instead of a bunch of systems because I can be swayed by a pretty paint job.

I want color buttons as one on YT mentioned match the Mario game and color console that make it stand out. And also have a color console release to reveal a neXtGen Switch 2 so people can just look and tell the difference. I doubt the release will have color/pattern schemes like Splatoon, TOTK, Pokémon - I think this will happen later Unless we get a OPEN World Zelda game that might be a good to have a console with Zelda themes and Standard release version with color scheme to be different from past standard Switch release.
They should have at least four colors at launch: black, indigo purple, orange, and red. The second batch should be light green, royal blue, light grey, and pink (not powder pink).
People would rather the systems have color these days for interior design. GameCube was ahead of its time.
I think they should definitely stick with the red as a base color, it's synonymous with Ninty as green is to Xbox. The real question is, what should their complimentary colors be?
"Now I have an obligation to tag along and clear the area if Luigi so much as glances at a stiletto."
Since the internal codename is apparently Project Ounce (ounce is another name for snow leopard) I'm putting my money on white, with chrome accents.
And as opposed to the OLED which was black and white, this one would be fully white, including the joystick and buttons, except maybe the XYBA buttons which could have the SNES colors as others have pointed out
Color button scheme and main console with different theme colors would be nice. This time make all the main body colored not just Black that's too bland.
Give the Switch 2 Joy-Cons the SNES colors, especially to solidify the “Super” on the Super Nintendo Switch name if they go with that.
But for this, use the colors from both the US and JP/EU versions rather than just one. The shells are grey, with the L/R and ZL/ZR and release buttons being black. The + and - buttons, as well as the Capture and HOME buttons are dark grey (as well as the extra button on the R Joy-Con, not sure if it’s an extra Capture button). The D-Pad buttons on the L Joy-Con use the purple and lavender colors from the US SNES and the ABXY buttons on the R Joy-Con use the colors from the Japanese/European SNES.
Or maybe something close to that, but not something where only the letters were colored on the New 3DS XL’s ABXY buttons.
I do like the color buttons shown on Mario RPG and rumors of colors thumb buttons and color scheme on the Joy-cons. What I like to know will the main body console itself will have a color scheme to differentiate it from Switch OLED as sounds it will have size factor up to show it's different as well.
I guess they will play it safe with black design or white. Its logical marketing. Other colors/themes will be released later when other major games is releasing, and will tempt people to double dip.
This time though, im maybe gonna buy all different versions..Go 100% all in on nintendo this generation and forward.
