Topic: Switch 2 console color prediction!

Let's stop for a moment arguing about the name of Nintendo's next console, and start arguing about its color!

I imagine Nintendo will want to distinguish it from the competition (so not fully black), while looking more premium than the OG Switch and Switch OLED.
My bet is on glossy white with chrome accents.

What are your thoughts and preferences?

Black & White PS5 style
Black & Red
White & Blue

You heard it here first, Nintendo will return to the famicom and game & watch era with gold aluminum and wine red.

All I want is for it to not have a glossy finish. A glossy screen I can live with but the rest of it should be matte. The Switch OLED finish, that's a solid finish, if they do that again then I'm happy

With that said, if I was to wish for ANY colour? It'd have to be clear atomic purple

I'd love a pink version but the chances of that happening on launch are slim I think 😅

I just hope that they have some neato colours at launch, but if they're compatible with existing Joy-Con, then that could also scratch that colour itch. But unless there are some killer launch titles, I might be tempted to wait until later in the system's launch year in case a special edition surfaces. I have way much to play these days, and since upgrading my phone, I've been spending way too much time playing Pokémon Go and GBC/DS games via Delta.

Nintendo and Japan have filled my life with colour, I would like red, the best colour in the world (because of Nintendo and LFC!)

But it will probably be black...

My bet is on purple. Though I do have to wonder if they’ll able to match the recognizability of the original red and blue Switch.

Along with green, blue, red, and yellow face buttons as a callback to the Super Famicom.

@Magician Oh shoot, I forgot about that! The Super Famicom/PAL SNES colored buttons is a great idea. The Switch remake of Paper Mario: TTYD has the colored button icons as well and I think it'd be great for the next console. Especially in terms of accessibility. That small detail actually helped me to know what buttons to press for when I do the action commands.

Royal Purple!

I'd say Game Boy Color Grape, or as it's more commonly known, Purplish Blue.

Bold, I like it.

Grey. It'll be grey.

My dream colour would be the blueish purple of the GameCube. Always wanted one this colour never owned a GameCube at the time it was PS2 for me heavy into GT3 and grand theft auto. Grey would prob be good too.

You joke but there has been a bit of a trend in PC cases for stuff like woodgrain, fabric and leather. Almost as a bit of a push back against the unicorn vomit RGB I think. Now I'm not expecting a wood-veneer Switch 2 dock but at least on some level it's not THAT crazy
