Hello,
*Is it already known if we be able lend my NS2 Games that are Digital (Virtual Game Cards) to family members under same Console that they can play they own save?!
*Is it already known if we be able lend my Digital NS2 Upgrade if I lend Physical NS1 Game that has that Upgrade to family member under same Console that they can play they own save?!
That feature is still will not be released until late April for NS1 and for NS2 until Consoles gets released, but maybe someone has some insight I could find while googling for around 30 minutes!
Thank you in advance for answers!

Contact Nintendo Support in your Region to get more info as what anyone on chats or forums knows is up to anyone guess.

Roger, only English speaking ones is UK or Ireland, because there is no Nintendo Support specifically for Lithuania yet. I will contact them only when PL:Z-A announces releases date cause that means Pre-Orders for it will start almost immediately or days away from NS2 releases, so for now it's not that important yet, so asking this way!

@SViper Do you mean one single Switch 2 console with multiple accounts, one for each family member? If you are on the same console with a digital game, almost every game already lets other accounts on that same console have their own save file (animal crossing is a rare exception). You don't need to lend the game, it's just there. You don't actually need to use the virtual game card system to do that.

As for the second question — good question! If a digital upgrade to a physical game is on one device, I'm guessing all accounts on that device will have access to the upgrade; it wouldn't really make sense otherwise. Now whether you can lend a digital upgrade to a different console... I don't think we know.

@SViper
Adding some extra sauce to what @FishyS said, the way it was described the virtual game card behaves the same as a physical game. Whether you lend it to someone else or move it between different devices with your account. Currently when you put a physical game card in a console it has no awareness of accounts. Every account on that system can play the game. It'll be the same here and they said as much when they announced the virtual cards

In terms of DLC and Switch 2 Edition versions? Well, when this was announced Nintendo put this in the fine print on their website which created a bit of a fuss because at the time we hadn't heard of Switch 2 Editions:

Compatible systems must be linked to a Nintendo Account to use virtual game cards. Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games and Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games can only be loaded on a Nintendo Switch 2 system. To move virtual game cards between two systems, you must pair the systems via local wireless and an internet connection, but only when pairing the systems for the first time. Up to two systems total can be linked per Nintendo Account.

So I think it's fair to say that when you move games between systems or lend them to people in your family group you'll be able to move Switch 2 Editions. Obviously not to Switch, but between Switch 2 consoles. And I wouldn't be surprised at all if DLC was the same. Because if DLC wasn't treated the same then.... I copy my copy of Smash to my Switch Lite and I have to buy the DLC again? Yeah, not happening. The DLC will copy across I'm fairly confident of that

@FishyS @skywake so my brother will be able turn on with he's Profile/Account on my NS2 my Digital MKW copy that I own?! Plus from FishyS answer my brother could always play my Digital Games with he's own Profile/Account on my NS1?! And from what you said it if I buy Digital NS2 Upgrade for PL:Z-A while owning NS1 Physical Copy of it if he plays with my NS2 that game with he's Profile/Account he will get Upgrade as well?!

@SViper No Digital upgrades will be tied to the Nintendo account that bought the upgrades. If he wasn't sole gaming then you have to buy the Switch 2 version of Pokemon ZA to get full cart game. They have to share the MKW for your brother to play it. It doesn't allow him to access your account game to play that's not how it works for GameShare. He will have to buy his own upgrade to have Pokemon ZA upgrade that doesn't share for upgrades.

Yeah, almost all Switch 1 games have always allowed 2 different people to play on different accounts on the Switch registered to the person who bought the game. Here is what Nintendo says:

"Can other people play my games on Nintendo Switch?
All user accounts on your primary Nintendo Switch console can play games you’ve purchased with your Nintendo Account." https://www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Support/Nintendo-Switch/Ninten...

Note that for mario kart, everyone on the same Switch (up to 8 accounts) can play, but only the accounts subscribed to NSO can play online.

@Jester676
Stop spreading misinformation. You've always been able to access all the games and DLC on multiple accounts on the same console. There is no change here. They literally called out this not changing when they announced this feature

This new feature only impacts the multiple console situation. All it is doing is allowing you to effectively set the primary console on a per game rather than per system basis. And then optionally allow you to temporarily shift a licence to another account on your family group. After that the rest will behave as it already does

Thank you for answers. If Upgrade Packs works like that too then I again don't know if I buy 2 copies of NS1 PL:Z-A or 1 copy of NS2 version & 1 copy of NS1 version. Because I be only one owning NS2, I have 2 brothers (I'm oldest), both other brothers will be owning NS1 (giving away my NS1 to my first brother that is already live on it's own). So borrowility vise it's better 2 NS1 copies while Loading Speed vise 1 of each, so I'm still at cross-roads on how I Pre-Order PL:Z-A when Pre-Orders will start for it.
PS: I guess this Virtual Game Card thing Update for NS1 coming next week cause it didn't came this week and Late of Month, in this case is Late of April, is 4th & last weeks of Month, so what is left is 3 work days of April next week, so it should come in those last 3 work days.

Virtual Game Card will add the following features:

  • A new icon will appear on the Switch and Switch 2 dashboard allow you to see your digital game library. From there you can eject or or load a digital game on to your Switch or Switch 2.
  • You are able to freely assign digital games between 2 Nintendo Switch (Switch 2) consoles using your own Nintendo Switch Profile. So you can move YOUR games between systems with ease.
  • You can also LEND a Virtual Game Card to someone in your Family Group - up to 8 people can be in a Nintendo Family.
  • The first time you register a Nintendo Switch to use with Virtual Game Card you need to do a local Switch to Switch connection. The Switch consoles have to be physically near each other. Then you are able to move games between the two systems freely as much as you want. A MAXIMUM of 2 Nintendo Switches can be used for this.
  • When you LEND a game to someone in your family group they bring their Switch console next to yours to receive it. It is unclear if it only transfers the license or the entire game.
  • People borrowing games in your family can play the game up to 14 days and the license will expire and automatically return to the original owner.
  • Family members SAVE FILES will remain on their system (and if they have NSO cloud saves should also be available).
  • NSO Nintendo Classics and Games like Tetris 99 or not capatible with Virtual Game Card.

BENEFITS OF VIRTUAL GAME CARD

  • You can move your digital library of games between two Switch systems without the need to be online while you play. Currently you need a constant internet connection to play on any console that isn't assigned as your home console.
  • You can lend your digital games to family members with ease.
  • Easily access your library of digital games without having to dig into your eShop profile.

So if you have a Switch and Switch Lite that you move between, maybe one you use for your commute - you can now move those games across the systems with ease, and you will not need an online connection when launching or playing the game.

***You will need the Switch systems in person to pair them for Virtual Game Card (first time for two system with your profile, every time for lending a game to a family member). And you will need an internet connection every time you LOAD or EJECT a Virtual Game Card.

****While a Virtual Game Card is EJECTED on your system it will be unavailable to play until it EJECTED from another Switch and LOADED back on to the Switch you want to play on. If it LENT OUT to someone in your family group you will not have access to the game until it returned to you.

@SwitchplayerJohn that's nothing new aka still same statement from month ago, why you even posted this when everyone knows about what was stated at the time of the reveal of this?!.
Just checked forums for new topics/etc before going to sleep and saw this answer to my questions like the person didn't even read my questions & thread before posting at all...
