Topic: So how do we feel about the base price of first party games?

I hate the fact that games cost €70 now but there's not much we can do about it. Yes you can say don't buy them or vote with your wallet or whatever but in the grand scheme of things none of that is going to make a blind bit of difference in the long run.

Eh, it will absolutely make a difference: it will keep money in your pocket to use for other things you find more worth the cash. Yeah, it is unlikely to result in a specific item being reduced in price. . . but that was never a reasonable expectation in the first place. Especially since, if you view it as a means to coerce a price drop for a specific item, than its effectively a bluff. . . and of every major publisher in the industry, Nintendo is absolutely the wrong company to try and bluff. While many publishers seem almost irrationally desperate to sell their games to every last person on the planet, Nintendo? Is perfectly fine with not selling their game to Person X, as long as it sells well to enough others.
