007 is here. Everyone’s favourite spy is readying to drop the bomb 💣 I’m freaking ready to dive into an electrifying adventure, mind-bending challenges, heart-pounding action, outsmarting foes or unraveling secrets, let’s hope every moment’s a rush. This one’s a going to be a Banger!
I'm not feeling this Bond from the new trailer, he seems like a young lad lad lad type rather than the grizzled alcoholic pr*** I think of him as. Still the game looks promising!
@jump Too early to judge. This is a young 007 who's not peaked his riz. Could get his swagger by the end of this game to set up for the sequal by the looks.
As long as he can shooty shooty and has gadgets I’m in. Likely not at launch but eventually.
Taiko is good for the soul, Hoisa!

I'm a Dream Fighter. Perfume is Love, Perfume is Life.
I loved Goldeneye on N64 but I don't remember really enjoying a Bond game since to be honest. They all seemed pretty mediocre to me but have to admit I stopped watching the movies with Pierce Brosnan many years ago even though I enjoyed Goldeneye the game. This will age me but the Bond film I most enjoyed was the Spy Who Loved Me with Roger Moore. It just seemed a lot of fun and didn't take itself too seriously. I suspect this will be a mediocre movie with a mediocre game but hopefully I'm wrong.
The trailer did not look good on any level, but Hitman: WoA is one of my favourite games ever, so I'm going to cross my fingers and hope for something great.
I have a few issues with it, but I am ultimately conflicted as I/O is close to my favourite ever gaming developer. As a Bond and Hitman fanatic, I/O are absolutely the right (if not obvious) choice for a Bond game developer. That's why I cannot feel somewhat underwhelmed by what has been showcased so far.
I haven't seen enough gameplay elements to have a final judgement, but a few things are off:
The Bond aesthetic is caught somewhere between Tom Cruise and Henry Cavil.
He's too young. I know the idea is to do something pre-Casino Royale, but i'd rather play Bond in his prime.
The tone and pacing is a little too slick for Bond. Where's the cynicism?
The title. Yuck.
Too skewed toward an Unchartered-like experience. See 007 Bloodstone. It was droll.
Things I like:
Old Q. Love it.
There appears to be some versatility in the gamplay (more than Bloodstone), but still not enough for an I/O title. I need to see more.
Chapter/level based rather than open world. I actually like this because it means the game will be more plot driven, than mission based. That's the ideal way for it not to be a Hitman clone.
I am looking forward to this one. Goldeneye on the n64, the GameCube Bond games, and now this keeps the tradition of cool Bond games on Nintendo systems.
If they announced Everything Or Nothing for Nintendo Online, i'd be more excited for that - I had it on PS2 back in the day. To me, that was always Brosnan's fifth film.
