"So your also saying iPhone should fail as well." to be honest, this is a very bad example. They have created that false sense of owning something that is worth a lot, whereas they sell overpriced low end products. Their only selling point is catering to the egos of people who want to be unique and who like flaunting expensive things. Without the continous support from Microsoft, they would have sunk a long time ago, but Microsoft needed a rival so that the anti - monopoly laws don't apply to them.
Apple is the very perfect example of everything wrong with how a big company treats its customers. Maybe Boeing is worse for murdering their whistleblowers, or Nestle for that and various other crimes against humanity, slavery etc. but as far as legal business operations go, Apple's quality of service is pretty close to hitting rock bottom.
