Topic: NS2 or Legion Go?

Hi dont kill me for asking this in a nintendo forum but i wonder if you guys have tried the legion go and could tell me what you think.

My buddy called me today and told a sad story that he is broke now since he had to buy a new kitchen. He wanted to buy a switch 2. I wondered, because my opinion is switch 2 is a bad decision. I would buy something that offers cross play with PC and XBOX and PS5 and that's of course games played over steam. Since he wants a handheld I asked him why he doesnt want to get a steam os device. He sayd he doesnt know.

So what do you who have a legion go, think about what tobuy if you can only buy one (for now)?

Very different devices really. Yes they both do portable gaming but PC is an open platform really and Switch 1 is a fixed platform. If you are buying a fixed platform like Switch 2 its because you want to play the specific games developed for that platform. I personally don't think Switch 2 is a compelling purchase yet because we are right at the beginning of its life but when it has maybe 6 exclusive games that you can't play elsewhere that are really good then its going to be hard to resist. I'm currently only interested in Mario Kart World but maybe in a years time the system will be cheaper, have many more games and the hardware will be improved. I personally think the original Switch is the better portable gaming platform at the moment with longer battery life, more compact and of course much better pricing. Every person has a different set of criteria what makes a good purchase for them depending on which games they want and enjoy.

If he's got other things going in then he should get neither for now.

OK, so unless your friend wants Nintendo 1st party games (sounds like he doesn't) then Steamdeck OLED is probably the way to go. Little cheaper vs Legion, and also SD OLED has a better battery and UI is easier, at least in my perspectice

I mean... if you/he/whatever wants to play Nintendo games, you don't really have an option.

That's your choice to make based on your gaming preferences. They don't share the same gaming library. Unless they have cross over games but so far that hasn't happen so far until maybe Microsoft decides to bring PC games over to Switch 2 if then.
