Because Pokémon is my favorite media franchise in the world (though Hyperdimension Neptunia may surpass it in the future), I will gladly pay $80 for Gen 10 as long as it's not a Game Key Card. If it's a Game Key Card, I riot.

@VoidofLight Yeah, that would be a good move. I don't like to see people heartbreak (as in disappointing,) about Pokemon these days either (and any franchise from any medium for that matter). Gets me down. I would rather hang out with people on a discord server that share the same interests as me instead.

If you're ever interested, I do know a Discord server you can join with other people that still like Pokemon like myself. Hope I'm not advertising too in saying that.

Next Pokemon will probably be 70$ each (so 140$ to get both) and then in the usual cartridge :v

You're not necessarily wrong, but I think 70 dollars is so inevitable that if its at least a clear, notable improvement from gen 9 (the more obviously embarrassing Pokemon release from a few years ago) it might get some slack.

Similarly, while even justified complaints can get overblown and obnoxious, the fact that a franchise as big as Pokemon put out gen 9 at that state, the same exact year they already had a better received modern Pokemon RPG, is one of the most unforced errors in Nintendo history. I'm still completely bewildered no one considered having the other Pokemon RPG, that they released TWO MONTHS after the gen 4 remakes, be the holiday Pokemon release that year and giving them time to make a more competent version of gen 9.

Yeah, even though I really love Scarlet and Violet (just check my forum signature for proof, it used to be my most favorite game until recently), I do admit that releasing it in the same year as Legends Arceus wasn't the best decision. Still, I was intending on skipping Arceus at the time because I didn't like the idea of the real time boss fights at the time, so I'm glad that Scarlet and Violet came out when they did. Yes, I suppose I'm a blasphemer in the eyes of the Pokémon fanbase 😉.

Tbh, almost every discord server I am in is filled with people who like Pokemon - art servers, music servers, programming servers.. they all seem to have a special Pokemon channel and lots of people who love Pokemon. I think the myth that people hate modern Pokemon only exists in certain Nintendo-obsessed parts of the internet on social media and places like this.

The issue is I could easily see Gen 10 being an 80 dollar game. I hope I'm wrong and that it ends up being 70 USD- but I could see Gamefreak getting ideas from Nintendo's first party prices.
