@Sylamp A combo direct would be great. As someone who mostly only plays Nintendo first-parties and Indie games, Partner Showcases seldom reveal anything that interests me. An Indie World could definitely help salvage the Direct for me.

@Sylamp I think having it split (Partner Showcase in February, Indie World in March) feels more likely as Nintendo tends to schedule the early in the year Indie World near GDC and/or PAX East. If there was a combo Direct, my guess would be Partner Showcase + Duskbloods Direct.
Really hoping this Partner Showcase is a lot more Switch 2 centric. The last Partner Showcase felt very Switch 1 focused still, and most of the games announced for Switch 2 either felt like stuff we got on Switch 1 or literally had a Switch 1 version too.
If Nintendo is forgoing a general Direct for now, than they better have some bigger 3rd party announcements for Switch 2 this time around.
@ImGrenadeMan This is typical rallydefault behavior, I've ignore listed HIM because he's constantly disrespectful. Also you can report them to the mods if you really think it's that bad.
1 or 2 things are bound to happen during the next direct from this list.
LOZ: Ocarina of Time Remake
Kid Icarus: uprising Remaster
Pikmin 3&4 (NS2) - (60fps @1080p+)
Luigi's Mansion 3 (NS2) - (60fps @1080p+)
Astral Chain (NS2) - (60fps @1080p+)
Kirby Star Allies (Ns2) - (60fps @1080p+)
Metroid Prime: Remaster (NS2) - (120fps @1440p)
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Remaster (NS2) - (120fps @1440p)
Mario Paint 2
Diddy Kong Racing 2
New Wave Race
F-Zero sequel
3D Mario unveil
StarTropics Remake - (One can dweam)
Punch-Out!! sequel
Wario Land sequel
NS2 LABO VR (But with 'plastic' accessories instead of Cardboard)
Smash Bros. 6 Teaser
And NSO Wii, while selling an NSO Wii Remote Plus & Wireless Nunchuck(Bouth housing HD Rumble 2), plus Wired USB Sensor bar to be used for specific games outside the NSO service like with Metroid Prime 4, Pikmin 1-3, Super Mario Galaxy 1&2, just to name a few.
@NeonPizza
Wario Land already has a sequel, three sequels in fact, I assume you mean the next sequel. Mario Paint 2 was released on 64DD. I don’t think they will announce Metroid Prime 2 remaster right after 4 just came out. I’m surprised Super Mario RPG sequel isn’t on the list given Nintendo and Square are on good terms again, opening that possibility back up.
@Don
Wario land Shake it was technically WL5, and boy was that game glorious when aiming for 100% completion. Best platformer and one of the most unnderrated and unepreciated on Wii imo, followed by Klonoa Remake, Mega Man 9 and Super Paper Mario if that even counts.
But a WL sequel is just too risky. Ninendo seems more keen on the idea of releasing more WarioWare titles. Smooth Moves was fantastic back on Wii, never cared for Get it Together and i hear Move it, which is a direct spiritual sequel to SM has motion issues due to the lack of a sensor bar.
and I'm surprised Retro Studious hasn't already released an NS2 version of Metroid Prime Remastered with 120fps support at 1080p+. It's bound to happen either before or right after they announce MP2: Echoes Remaster.
@NeonPizza I mean, GiT and MI are the two most recent WarioWare titles and you just said they weren't that good, so maybe it's time for Wario to pivot. Probably time to try either reviving WL or creating a new gameplay style for Wario. The latter in particular, especially if they go for a 3D Wario, might give it a sort of Bananza moment that could work (it would also parallel Bananza because like DK, Wario only had 1 3D game decades ago and a 3D Wario would be refreshing). Although it doesn't help that Bananza itself creeps pretty close to Wario's territory, so it's difficult to imagine a 3D Wario that doesn't feel too close to Bananza.
@Bolt_Strike I think they may announce on Tuesday. One of the big fears investors had in 2025 was that 3rd parties would abandon Switch 2 because everyone hates Key Cards. Announcing Partner Showcase on Tuesday would mean Nintendo will have addressed that point prior to the investor Q&A.
Nintendo stocks have been on a steady decline since september/october. I don't think investors are as positive about this thing as some of us on this website are, but I'm sure that'd turn around if Nintendo just announced anything major.
This is likely the make it break for Borderlands 4 after it's very last minute delay to it's already three weeks removed launch date on Switch 2 from the other platforms.
Gearbox just released their plans for 2026, going over extensive patches, content, updates and more in a full year roadmap.
The Switch 2 version wasn't mentioned once.
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
@OmnitronVariant To be fair, investors aren't really much of a measure for quality. Loads of them are dropping stocks in the industry as a whole because of an Ai model Google just made.
