@Novamii I’d love to finally get that game on Switch as well. The main reason I could see Nintendo avoiding it is if they didn’t want any other 3D Mario release same year as a potential brand new 3D Mario.
@NinChocolate Thankfully you are not in charge lol. Abandoning 150 million users is not a good look. Like you wouldn't be interested in software sales hahaha. Besides, we son't know how good the holidays were outside of Japan (which on it's own is enough to give anyone a headache about releasing a new console!)
I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.
Since it's presumed that the backwards compatibility between OG Switch and Switch 2 is 100%, I could see Nintendo ending OG Switch television, vod, social media, and print adverts. Let the retailers do the advertising in order to liquidate inventory before the Switch 2 arrives. Holiday 2025 Switch bundles will no doubt be priced to move.
Next mainline Direct?
I assume Nintendo have now gone dark until they've decided on the Switch 2 Presentation event date between now and March.
Honestly at this point the only question is what comes first, the Switch 2 reveal or the Pokemon Presents? Those are the next two big events most likely, the question is in what order? Hopefully the Switch 2 reveal first because this is getting physically painful. If we have two wait another 2 months for Nintendo to actually reveal the thing this fanbase is going to implode (it kind of already is already).
I'm wondering if the mumurings of the reveal being this coming week could be true. Especially given that soon a manufacturer of accessories are planning to reveal their products for the console.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@VoidofLight I think the accessories situation is just a case of lost patience. That these accessories manufacturers expected Nintendo to reveal back in September/October and given that didn't happen, the accessories manufacturers just went and revealed their stuff anyway in December/January.
@Grumblevolcano Yeah, that's what it seems like. The issue is that one of them is threatening to fully reveal the console this coming week if Nintendo doesn't do it themselves- at least from what I've heard and seen on the matter. I feel like given how many leaks are pouring out, Nintendo is quickly losing the narrative on their own console.
@FragRed Someone typed in the code for the joycon and it worked on the Nintendo warranty page, so it's safe to assume that this is a legit leak as well.

@VoidofLight Yeah I saw that had happened, so it seems Nintendo are fully in mass production readying up for release. Also I’m not sure how much time is needed should Nintendo decide to pull a reveal earlier than planned.

@FragRed It makes me think the launch definitely is going to be earlier in the year rather than later honestly. Especially if they're gearing up for production like this.

@VoidofLight regarding the whole serial code thing, I’m sure the joy-con leak is real, but if someone were to make a fake joy-con, couldn’t they easily use an existing joy-con code? It’s definitely likely that it’s the real deal, but I’m confused with people using that as the confirmation.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Switch)
@VoidofLight yeah I agree, I just thought it was weird that many people were using the serial as conclusive proof when there are so many other factors that were more convincing. The joy con thing itself is interesting, especially the whole mouse functionality

@SplatRay001 The speculation I've seen on the mouse censor makes a point that it could be for touch screen controls when the system is in docked mode. Meaning the "C button is a cast button" probably isn't going to be the case.
"It is fate. Many have tried, yet none have ever managed to escape it's flow."
@VoidofLight I think Nintendo's going to treat the leaks as if they don't exist. In the end if the Switch successor turns out to be just a more powerful Switch, any surprises comes not from the hardware but the software instead.
@Grumblevolcano The way I see it is that this console is shaping up to be more akin to the 3DS. There's certainly a gimmick here beyond power if the joycon leaks are true. That one C button mixed with the mouse functions of the joycon makes me think they're going to be attempting touch screen gaming again.
