@GrailUK Nice wishlist! I think it would be exciting if a few of those did get shown during the Direct. I think Metroid Prime 4 is due for an update. It’s been nearly a decade, hasn’t it?

If I recall, wasn’t Hi-Fi Rush actually supposed to get a Switch release from what those leaked images of those t-shirts said that also included PlayStation and Steam logos? If so, I’m surprised it’s taking them long to release it, but after Microsoft closed the developer of that game an official from Microsoft said that Hi-Fi Rush would continue to be sold on whatever platforms it is available on, and I think NL wrote an article on that statement and said that it makes it uncertain if the game is going to be released on Switch after all. A “leaker” claimed that the title was being saved for the supposed “Switch 2,” but I think very recently that leaker was discredited and is no longer a trusted source. That’d stink if Switch users were left out and I believe the game would do so well on there.

They wouldn't necessarily need the entire team to port the game to Switch 2. Also, it's a fairly safe bet that there have been dev kits in the wild for at least a year, so the bulk of the work might already have been done prior to Tango Gameworks being shut down.

Failing that, it could be a job for a relatively small studio that specialize in ports, such as the recently acquired Shiver. I'm not saying that it's definitely them, but their acquisition would make a lot more sense if they were working on porting an important game to Switch 2 for its launch window.

@Matt_Barber I see! Thank you for the info. I am thinking about it now, and there probably is a chance those ports were being worked on before Tango’s closure. I think it isn’t uncommon for big companies to get companies specializing in porting games to work on bringing their titles to other consoles. Like you said, there could definitely be a chance that the possible port is being worked on, but by another studio. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case, since I checked the Wikipedia entries for a couple of other Microsoft games that went multiplatform, and one of them, the PS5 port of Sea of Thieves, was done by a different studio rather than the original developers themselves. Hopefully that is the case for Hi-Fi Rush.

I'm surprised there haven't been more content leaks. Maybe Pyoro did the couple tweets just to show everyone proof of life.

The Pyoro situation is quite odd. We usually hear more by now from Pyoro.

There’s some weird thing going on surrounding leakers and even Pyoro, so who knows if Pyoro will continue to leak stuff.

Well, Pyoro tweeted once more a few minutes ago after I was convinced there would be no leaks. I guess now I will start avoiding leaks again 😆

Definitely time traveler. But they can only travel back in time like 2-6 days.

I've long suspected that the source is someone who works on the Directs. They might just have been a little slow in coming through with the info this time, hence the official announcement getting out first.

Not technically about the direct, but Nintendo just said the next Mario movie is coming out April 24, 2026... (in Japan)

10 AM tomorrow is perfect for me. I'm out of work with bronchitis and my wife will be at her ESL class. It'll be nice to have something to do.

In the absence of meaningful leaks, I'll predict that we'll get at least one JRPG or farming simulator.
