@JaxonH got mine preordered. I should be good for the generation. Don’t plan on purchasing too many games. I’m very selective with my game purchases now.
I can no longer find the 512gb sandisk express card on best buy's site. I guess they disabled it until switch launch, since that seems like the trend.
edit: I can't help notice how awful store sites are, when their site-search cannot filter for Express cards. Best Buy and amazon both spam you with non-express microSD cards. Amazon literally keeps suggesting non-express cards like they're a viable alternative, and they are not.
@WoomyNNYes As far as I can tell, the bigger express cards are sold out basically everywhere. I agree with the on the horrible search features... they really need to add an express tag to search for only express sd cards.
If the Lexar 512Gb and 1TB express micro sd cards go live on Amazon US and have shipping dates for July/August/or September, would you still buy?
I've see some listings on amazon and retailers that say the express cards will be available July, August, September. Granted, those may just be place holder times, but I'm not confident that's the deal.
The wait for 2 TB is gonna burn but I will mostly be camping on switch and only putting switch 2 versions on switch 2 so that should buy me some time for the wait.

I'm trying to get a smaller one while waiting for an eventual big one but everytime I get pinged that they are in stock they are out of stock by the time I click buy 😐
Most affordable express microSD at the moment. But do we trust the onn brand to be reliable? I'm not sure I do. At the moment, that price is leaning toward too good to be true. But it's an impressive price, and it is sold and shipped by walmart, not an unknown third party seller.
I went and bought four 512gb exSD cards from Wally world they were far less expensive then Sandisk or PNY or BestBuy brand for that version or even Lexar. Still have my Sandisk 256gb exSD so have to figure how to sell this as it's still sealed box. Those are probably the same one made by Sandisk for GameStop as the specs match those from Gamestop. I used Onn products and they are just fine. I suspect after this week those Wally exSD will be also hard to find as well. My plan is to use two 512g for standard game update and the other two to store "Key-Card" games.
@WoomyNNYes I've heard that brand is not the most reliable but if you're like me and just want a small one for a year or two until the larger sizes become affordable, it doesn't need to last long-term. If they weren't all sold out near me already I would grab one.
If one is going to say that product is bad then they need to post links of verified sources that says whom makes for Onn as they most likely don't make but have companies like Sandisk that makes it for them.
@sethfranum Onn is a walmart brand. In the past they've been rebranded cards from a variety of manufacturers. Since it's a major Walmart brand I don't think anyone would say they are 'bad' but the fact that the current ones are literally half the price as sandisk etc. brings a strong possibility that they are cards which don't quite hit the quality or speed targets from the original manufacturer. I'm sure someone will do some study of them in a couple years, but for now it's mostly educated conjecture.
@FishyS Maybe so but Onn doesn't make their own but being off brand they can charge for less only time can tell. But if one has NSO there is cloud saves and internal save as well so I doubt the brand will have less quality then other brands.
I took a chance on an Onn card cause I really couldn't find them anywhere else. They seem to have an okay record online, the read and write speeds seemed solid, and if worst comes to worst and it breaks I can probably get a refund.
@sethfranum They came back in stock so I'm going to snag one too. I agree that since save files are on internal storage, there is no real risk in getting a card with a slightly less good reputation than sandisk. And Walmart is a huge company, it's not going to risk selling actively bad cards.
