Topic: Lost Game Data when Transferring from Oled to Switch 2

so i Recently Transferred all my Game Data from my OLED Switch to my Switch 2 and i tried playing some of the games on my switch 2 and its making me start a new game went back to the OLED switch and its the same does anyone have any advice or is all my save data gone
The Games im most Frustrated about are Sword and Violet i had completed both Games had the Shiny Charm in Sword and had spent so long farming shinys and had some pokemon i transferred from Go that i cant get back im devastated

Pokemon games never transfer from system to system, and Animal Crossings you need to use the island transfer tool. Other than that you can transfer most things if you have Nintendo Online subscribtion (it has cloud saves), it sucks thou now that it seems it's all gone sorry.

@Solarstriker The official automated Switch 2 transfer process is supposed to transfer Pokemon also. It certainly did for me. Not sure why it wouldn't.

Yeah that’s strange. When I did my OLED to Switch 2 transfer, I didn’t lose anything at all. In fact I was shocked some saves transferred over as some of my games don’t support cloud backup. I was very happy I didn’t have to start some games all over again.

@FishyS yeah i selected all the games but for some reason they didnt transfer over

Hmmm, it seems the automated transfer should have worked then. I wanted to keep my OLED going still, but i tried moving my Pokemon games to the Switch 2 (however the cloud stuff didnt work with Pokemon).

Did you have any luck with Nintendo? We've got a similar situation. Game data for cloud games has transferred, but we've lost all data for games with a physical card. My son is literally in tears!
