Topic: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Final Fantasy 7 Remake was excellent both as a game and as a port on Switch 2. Perfect fit for the flexibility of the hybrid.

Today FF7 Rebirth demo is out. I tried it for a few minutes just to see how it runs and there seems to be a lot of continuity in terms of visuals and performance so far. I can see cuts in geometry and environment textures to focus on the most important aspects of each scene, but overall seems like another solid port.

What do you guys think?

I adored this game. Probably my favourite non-Nintendo game of the past 5 years. Certainly my favourite Final Fantasy.

Looking forward to playing it again on Switch 2. I actually utilised Remote Play a fair amount on PS5 while on holiday, or to play in my bedroom...so a native portable version is very welcome. Having played a bit of the demo, it does seem a little more compromised than Remake, but totally competent.
