Arcade Archives Ridge Racer available day one, possibly with online play. This is the first proper 3D AA release I think? Does this mean we could get Tekken, Time Crisis, Ace Combat 2, Soul Calibur,? Or even Sega games. The potential is enormous. Soul Calibur online would be a dream. We're already getting Soul Calibur 2 but that will just have online with friends.

Some past releases will be getting upgrades too. King of the Fighters 98 is the first to be announced with a $2.99 upgrade option if you already own it. That's the case on PS and Xbox anyway.

What 90's arcade classic would you like to see?

@OorWullie Iโ€™m wondering why Arcade Archives 2 wasnโ€™t touched on in the switch 2 direct but holy cow youโ€™re right!! Opens up the door for many many exciting more modern games! Cant wait to see whatโ€™s in store for us!

Man if they can get Sega on board the possibilities are endless!! Would love to see Virtua Cop 1&2 with switch 2 mouse support now in place. Maybe a port of the first House Of the Dead? Ohh baby!!

I'm excited. Now going back moons ago, I was hoping for a Namco Museum 2 with Ridge Racer, Tekken, Starblade, Cybersled etc. But dammit, this is close enough! Would love Thrill Ride and GTI club from Konami

I never drive faster than I can see. Besides, it's all in the reflexes.

@joey302 Virtua Cop.and House of the Dead games with mouse controls would be superb. It won't beat playing with a lightgun or even Wii pointer controls but it's the next best thing. Add on some HD rumble too.

I can still remember playing the opening stage of Virtua Cop 2 on my Dreamcast for the first time. It blew my mind that I was playing games like this at home.

Even if we don't get Virtua Fighter, we should get Time Crisis. I trust Hamster will include mouse controls. I've never played TC but I remember seeing it in the arcades.

@GrailUK You brought back a long forgotten memory with Cybersled. The name wasn't familiar but the gameplay is. My local arcade had it. I had never heard of Starblade or Thrill Ride though. They look great. Hamster have released a load of Namco and Konami games, so im hopeful they'll all arrive in time. Exciting stuff.

It is a shame we never got another Namco Museum. Perhaps on Switch 2. I think having them as Arcade Archives is even better though.

@WaveBoy I used to play a lot of Ridge Racer at my friend's house. I had the Saturn and Daytona and for sure, RR was more impressive. Not sure I admitted it at the time though haha.

I have wanted arcade wallpapers since the first Arcade Archives game I bought. You're right, it looks so bland. The Capcom Arcade Stadium wallpapers look so good. Love them. Pretty sure I paid for them. Worth every penny.

It's funny because when I had a smaller crappy 32'' TV I always used the 00 setting. Or 01 if it is a Space based shmup. I like scanlines in Space ๐Ÿ˜…. But now I've got a larger, quality TV, I turn the filter off. I appreciate the crisp pixelated look.
