Topic: Am I going crazy. Nintendo direct.

Hi all. It’s my first time on here and I need your help. I think I’m going crazy, earlier in the year I watched a direct where they announced an oot remake for this year and at the end of the direct they announced the next Zelda game, which is a sequel to the wind waker. Did anyone else see this or am i losing my mind as I can’t find out anything about this anywhere now. Thanks.

@Fulhamben You probably either watched a fan-made direct video, dreamt it, or you're trying to bait people on here (but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt). The only Nintendo presentations we have had so far this year are a Tomodachi Life Direct, a Partner Showcase, and a Pokemon Presents. No details on upcoming Zelda titles have been revealed so far.

That was definitely not a real Direct, everyone's been waiting for them to say something, anything on new game announcements but so far they've only focused on previously announced games and they announced Pokemon Winds/Waves for 2027. Nothing Zelda has been mentioned so far this year even though everyone's expecting it.

Thank you both for your response. If it was a fan direct then it was extremely well made. Maybe it was a dream but wow it was one hell of a dream. And no I’m too old and tired to bait people.

A new Zelda announcement would be huge, and not something that comes along very often. Nintendo gave us our lineup last year stretching through the 1st half of this year- Mario Tennis Fever, Pokopia and Yoshi Mysterious Book are our 3 brand new 1st party titles for the 1st half of the year, with Animal Crossing NS2 Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles X NS2 Edition and Super Mario Wonder NS2 Edition as our 3 upgraded 1st party titles for the 1st half of the year. There's also Tomodachi Life next month for Switch 1, which will run via BC (and likely get a NS2 upgrade).

And we still have Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave, Splatoon Raiders and The Duskbloods undated for the 2nd half of the year (Pokemon Winds/Waves is 2027).

Next Direct should be in summer after Yoshi releases and they've exhausted their dated lineup. Not saying you should expect a Zelda to be announced then, but they do typically try to release a Zelda game each year, be it a spinoff, remake, remaster or new entry. What it would be is anyone's guess.
