hi all my son has extracted and then inserted the SD memory incorrectly. now displays the message: The SD card is write-protected. Software in the SD card can not be viewed. What should I do? Thanks
salve a tutti mio figlio ha estratto e poi inserito in modo scorretto la memoria SD. adesso visualizza il messaggio:La scheda SD è protetta da scrittura.i software nella scheda SD non possono essere visualizzati.cosa devo fare?grazie
@salod Weird. Have a little read below. Sounds like the card might be broken. Assume you've tried a reset on the Switch and still no joy. That being the case it could need replacing.
@salod also 2ds specific (sorry I just realised the Switch only uses microsd cards) have a look at this one. If the card was put in wrong it might have messed around with the tab inside the reader slot so every time you are putting the card in you are write protecting it.
I inserted another SD card and always shows the same error. I hope the card reader has not broken. I will try to insert the SD into the PC to see if it works inside the PC
ho inserito un'altra SD card e mostra sempre lo stesso errore.spero non si sia rotta il lettore della card . proverò ad inserire la SD nel PC per vedere se funziona dentro il pc
@salod sounds like the slot might be faulty then. I'd certainly try manipulating the card inside the slot carefully and trying to lock in different positions. Another comment below from Reddit that might help. Good luck!
The SD card is not the issue. The write protection slider doesn't have any effect on the SD card at all. It's the SD reader that judges the position of the slider, to decide whether it's in write protection mode or not. Unfortunately it seems like the SD reader in your 3DS is not working correctly.
You can still try to manipulate the SD reader by trying to place the write protection slider in the middle instead of top or bottom, and keep trying different positions until it works.
