So we just got the second Air Riders direct announced for Thursday.

Will we get additional songs added to the Special Release playlist as an announcement during the direct?

I was wondering last night if we might get a special release this week, because last time they did that it was followed by the weekly release being rather small (Zelda II). More Air Riders following yesterday's small Metroid II drop would check out!

Okay, so with apologies for my premature slip-up last week, now is the last week of October, which also means that tomorrow's drop will be the final release of the app's first year of service. I wonder if we'll see a change-up to the release strategy after this? Either way, we should also be getting that long-promised app update this week.

My guess for this week is Luigi's Mansion 2 (or 3), for obvious reasons. I'll also huff some copium and predict Majora's Mask as an alternate guess, because please I really want it lol

The September general Direct said that the road to Prime 4's launch begins with the Prime 1-3 book releasing on October 28th so I'm predicting a scenario where there's a Prime 4 Direct in the window of October 28th - 30th and in the Direct there's a special Nintendo Music release for some Prime 4 tracks. Perhaps the music from the April demo and March Direct.

I was just about to guess Majora’s Mask or one of the other Luigi’s Mansion games (2 or 3) for this week.

The note about the app being a year old and a potential change to the release strategy made me wonder if they’d communicate a change before doing it, or if it’d be unannounced.

I was mainly just thinking that they'd do a behind-the-scenes shift in what they release, or in how they release new albums, although more transparency would certainly be welcome. I'm thinking that they might schedule more high-demand soundtracks for release in the app's second year as a reaction to feedback, as they've been largely beating to the sound of their own drum until now with some strange releases here and there, right up to the odd singular Metroid II release last week. But this is Nintendo, so I can't really expect them to start making sense so suddenly, lol. As a prediction, we'll almost definitely see our first proper Switch 2 albums over the coming year.

One thing's for sure though, those of us in the US are getting our releases an hour earlier starting next week. Clock-changing shenanigans FTW! 😆

I’m also going to guess Luigi’s Mansion 2 or 3. With Halloween coming up, I think it is the perfect time to add them. If not those, New Leaf seems like a good guess to me

-Pokemon gens 1-4/the GCN games/HGSS (take a wild when I stopped playing Pokemon games, won't be difficult :V)
-Pokemon Mystery Dungeon
-Xenoblade in general
-Rhythm Heaven in general
-Every Kirby platformer when Sakurai still worked at Hal
-The 3DS Kirby platformers
-Kirby Air Ride, Dream Course and Block Ball (even if Block Ball is partially because getting excited for the music for Kirby Block Ball on Gameboy is funny to me)
-All the remaining pre-Other M Metroids (the series might've made a comeback, the great music has not)
-Zelda Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Minish Cap and ALBW
-Kid Icarus: Uprising
-Advance Wars in general
-Pikmin 1-3
-Most of the Mario RPGs (I love Bowser's Inside Story, weirdly I think the OST is just ok)
-Smash Bros in general (even if there's basically no chance of anything after Melee being added imo)
-Star Fox Assault
-Animal Crossing
-Earthbound/Mother 3

I'll still be sticking with that, as well as Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. I'm thinking either one of those, or possibly both.

Since it’s Halloween next week, I’m going to predict Luigi‘s mansion 2 or 3. I reckon they’ll release prime 2 or 3 the same week prime 4 launches.

Since it's halloween, my guess is New Super Mario Bros. Wii! (yes I am joking)

I really hope it isn't Luigi's Mansion 2 or 3 because I'm not going to be able to fit the changes to the leaderboard in my signature...
I'll add a bundle of the Famicom Detective Club games to my prediction though (some great music in those remakes).

• All mainline Pokémon games (but especially Gens 1-4 and their remakes), Pokémon Colosseum and XD. Most wanted out of all of that is Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire
• Zelda Majora's Mask, Minish Cap, Twilight Princess, Spirit Tracks, A Link Between Worlds
• Super Metroid, GBA Metroids, Metroid Prime 2
• Every mainline Kirby except Amazing Mirror and Squeak Squad (really want 64 and Return to Dream Land in particular)
• All missing Mario Karts
• Paper Mario: The Origami King (64 and Color Splash would be nice too)
• The first four Mario & Luigi titles
• Yoshi's Woolly World
• Super Mario Maker 2
• Donkey Kong Country Returns, Tropical Freeze, and Bananza
• Any Smash Bros.
• Any Rhythm Heaven
• F-Zero: GP Legend; I haven't gotten around to playing GX or Climax yet but I'm sure those OSTs are great as well
