Topic: Nintendo Music App

Going to pin my bets on classic titles this week and guess either Super Metroid or Link's Awakening (GB)

Bit of a tricky one because we had an 'old' soundtrack last week but also one of significant length. If there's any pattern at all that is

I really want them to touch base with anything from DS - Wii U just for variety's sake buuuut I'm gonna stick with either Pilotwings 64 or Ring Fit Adventure

Golden Sun being a longer classic soundtrack made me think this week will be a smaller, newer soundtrack. My prediction is the 3DS and Wii U equivalent to "Wii Channels" so stuff like eshop music, the Wara Wara Plaza music on Wii U, the music when you view download progress on Wii U, Face Raiders on 3DS, etc.

I’m predicting New Leaf. We only have one Animal Crossing soundtrack and no 3DS soundtracks so this would be perfect (I also just want them to add this)

Kirby and the Forgotten Land would be awesome, since we got GBA last time and we haven’t got a Kirby game since launch, that’ll be my prediction this time!

Bit of wishful thinking but I hope that should the choice of soundtrack be Wario Land 4, they should be sure add the absolutely cacophonic cluster of madness that is the Sound Room.

I’m going out on a limb here: Kid Icarus Uprising.

1. We haven’t gotten a 3DS game
2. We haven’t gotten a Kid Icarus game (there’s only three to be fair but still)
3. In the event that Nintendo is prepping for a new Kid Icarus game (mouse joycons to replicate touch controls, no new entry or remaster on Switch 1, one of the few remaining series without a new game, Sakurai is currently working on a game), this would be a great way to start to drum up interest

My guess is Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree. Shorter, but new(ish) soundtrack.

StreetPass Mii Plaza is not what I was expecting.

Edit: Ooh, they added the sound that plays when the icon is highlighted on the 3DS's home menu. Nice touch, and hopefully they do that for all 3DS games

Damn, I predicted this would be the first 3ds soundtrack they would add back in October.

I'm really glad they went for something like this. I was starting to think we were being restricted more and more to NSO and Switch titles.

@AJWolfTill As good of a guess as it was, I think it's a little too far from what we ended up with especially since 3DS and Wii U system music (I think) are likely additions in the future

I am predicting that this week will be a Switch game, so I am going to guess Tears of the Kingdom. Easily my favorite soundtrack of all time, especially with all of the Yunobo themes

Nintendo are still heavily promoting DK even though Returns HD released over a month ago so my prediction for this week's soundtrack is DKC Tropical Freeze considering it released on Wii U in February 2014.

@N00BiSH That would be very true, I have been waiting for this soundtrack since the moment they announced the app. This is my first time guessing this though if that changes anything

Assuming they don't break the release cadence it would make the most sense to get Pokémon this week.
Going to go with an incarnation of the first game, either the o.g. , firered/leaf green or Let's go p/e.

I’m not so sure about those (Pokemon from generation 1 to 7) since they actually do sell them digitally.

I'm gonna go with Pokémon Stadium as my main guess.
If it isn't I still have a feeling it'll be N64 as we haven't had one in a while so my backup two are Majora's Mask and Mario Kart 64

Paper Mario: The Origami King is my prediction. It’s been about a month since the last Switch game, and we surprisingly don’t have a Paper Mario game yet even though the series is pretty popular for it’s music.
