Japan Direct confirmed, 11am UK time on Sunday 31st May:
Focus is on summer titles. With E3 being so close I would keep expectations low.
Hahahaha. My fone translated the Japanese tweets to English and they all seemed excited. Some want FE:IF details, new Pokemon details, Wii U games info, etc.
I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

Being so close to E3 I don't expect much outside of some new details on Fire Emblem and Yoshi's Woolly World (which is slated for summer in Japan) and Japan-only titles.
I have a strange feeling that we are going to have a direct soon sometime in July plus it may involve the virtual console hopefully snes and gba titles for 3DS.
Surprised to see this thread bumped so early. I don't think we'll get any general Nintendo Directs until August. If we get a Direct before that, it'll be a game-specific Direct.
I won't bet any money on it. But I would not be surprised if sometime in july/august that we get another direct. They have a few things they cover.
1. Devil's Third Localization, since Nintendo of America confirmed it is coming.
2. The big Splatoon content update that they mentioned in the Splatoon direct that is supposed to come out in August.
3. Maybe some more Mario Maker info, but I doubt it.
4. More info on Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer
5. Maybe a surprise or two.
We've seen an August direct before. We had a August Direct and The Wonderful 101 in August 2013, and last year we had the Hyrule Warriors direct. Perfect time for Nintendo to solidify release plans for AC: HHD, and other fall releases. All we know about AC:HHD amiibo releases is we are getting 100 cards in the first wave. How they are packaged and distributed/sold remains to be a mystery.
Here's my predictions for what could be in a August Nintendo Direct (obviously it won't have the entire list, that's too big):
Star Fox Zero details including a release date
Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival details including a release date
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash details including a release date
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes details including release date
