Topic: Possible Mario Kart Bug?

Hi Everyone. When I’m playing Mario kart 8 deluxe on switch, sometimes it feels like something is pulling my kart/bike back. Like a magnet. I feel the wheels drifting and I can’t do anything but wait for it to stop. Can anyone help me? It happens regardless of any settings I’ve tried. I’m kinda upset.

9 @ThyagoMars are you sure motion controls are off? When customizing a kart, or in the pause menu, i think I've turned them on by mistake. (or my niece likes randomly pushing buttons) Forgive me if you've already checked that.

Edit: does it do it with other controllers?

Otherwise I'd go into settings and check button inputs, and make sure the controllers are updated. Granted, updating controllers probably isn't your issue, but I'd check just to be thorough.

@WoomyNNYes Yep. Motion controls are off. I’ve tried the other control settings too. And i disabled smart steering too. Yet nothing changed.

@WoomyNNYes I don’t have other controllers. I just have my joy cons. New joy cons are way too expensive here. And none of my friends have a switch for me to test. The game, the console, and the controllers are up to date. It seems I’m the only one experiencing this issue.

@ThyagoMars That's weird. Maybe it's your joycons. Have you seen control problems with other games? At this point, I say give Nintendo a call. I see you're in Brazil. I don't know Portuguese well enough to navigate Brazil's nintendo site to get to their contact page. Here's the country selector:

I am curious if you still have problems playing MK8 with a half joycon, since the button functions get mapped to different buttons.

I think Nintendo's support line is still running during the outbreak.

@WoomyNNYes Yep. Even with half of a controller the problem persists no matter what half I use. Nintendo’s support in Brasil are poor, since they left our market. Getting a help from them are a bit hard. Anyway I’ll try it. I’m short of options here. lol
