I need help with my New 2DS XL. I downloaded some last games I wanted from the 3DS eShop before it closed two weeks ago and left it in sleep mode. When I opened it up a couple of days later, it was virtually out of charge and powered off on its own. I’ve left in on charge for a few hours today, gone to turn it on and the blue light comes on and then fades in two seconds: and that’s when it’s charging, when it’s not plugged in pressing the power button doesn’t register at all. Is this a problem with a common solution? I’d appreciate any advice.
@NintendoWiiDS Try this troubleshooting page. I know the blue light descriptions in the page aren't exactly what you describe, but maybe it's still relevant?
@WoomyNNYes Thanks for the help. I went through the page and when I said the orange light is showing up when I charge the system, it’s told me I need a new charger. I’m not sure if it’s the charger or the console itself that’s causing the problems.
@NintendoWiiDS If it said you need a "new charger", they mean a new AC adapter. So, if you have a friend with 3ds/2ds AC adapter, you could try theirs. Otherwise, you'll need to buy one.
I think your console hardware is likely ok. As far as what I've seen, I think a failed ac adapter is the most likely scenario. The only other thing I've heard of going bad is a battery.
