Topic: LG Smart TV lagging about a second behind Wii U

My dad recently hooked their Wii U up to a different TV in the house it seems to be about a second behind the gamepad's input. I currently do not have all the information on the model of the TV (no one is at the house right now), but I was wondering if anyone had at least a general idea of what to do. What I do know, is that it is an LG "Smart" TV that also has 3D. It is 120hz and is about 3 or 4 years old.

Any tips are appreciated!

Is there a Game Mode setting? That normally fixes the lag

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

We actually tried game mode but no luck.

It is a lg 55lw5600-ua with software version 05.00.12.

Try it again(make sure it's activated for the Wii U's channel too), and update the TV firmware (http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-55LW5600).
