Hello, I have not been able to log into my Nintendo account for absolutely ages now, I've contacted Nintendo support number of times now with no reply. I know this is not an official forum but I'm just looking for help. I reset my phone so I had to reinstall the authenticator and since then I've been locked out. I don't have backup codes and can't add my Nintendo account to the authenticator until I can sign back into the account.
So what do I do? I've tried resetting the password but it asks for a authenticator code. I can play on my switch because I have not logged out, but can't access the Nintendo app or website and I can't even try the mario kart game on mobiles because I need to link my account.
Any help appreciated.

I had this happen to me when one of my phones died and I needed to get Nintendo Support to remove the authentication.
Just be sure to contact the correct Support page for your Nintendo Region.
I had reached out to Nintendo of America's support by mistake and they needed to send me to their European counterparts to perform the fix for me.

You mentioned a support number so I'm guessing you might have made a phone call. I think they might need the request in writing so that might be a more successful avenue.
When I did it, it took a few days for them to get back to me.

Hello, thank you very much for the response. I've contacted support again making sure the region and information is all correct.
Fingers and toes crossed.

As others have said, Only Nintendo can help you, just keep contacting them. Either that or you will have to make a new account.

I had something similar happen when I wanted to pass on my Switch Lite to my son and the Authenticator was on my last phone (I had no idea you needed to move it onto your new phone before you stop using it). Nintendo account seemed to be the only thing I’d actually used it for. Contacted Nintendo on the phone and they were really helpful. They unlocked access after I ran through some questions (aside from the usual stuff it was questions such as ‘can you name three games you have purchased on the eshop in the last 6 months?’) Not planning on using Google Authenticator again if I can avoid it!

‘You swapped three different N64 games for Pokemon Stadium? Where’s your pride? Your dignity?!?

‘…I traded it for a Pikachu’

Thank you again for the advice. I contacted Nintendo support making sure all my information was correct and they removed the 2fa.

yeah, google authenticator, might have its pros, but when you get the wrong end of things mixed up like your phone dying on you or if it's lost, well that can get very annoying and frustrating too. 😢

@Letsdance87 I hope you get this fixed. 😎🤞

Game on. 🤘 Rock on. 🎸
